“I got the bbq plate, and it was good , but I didn't taste much smoke flavor. I courious if it is hickory pit cooked or electric pit cooked? I liked the pitato salad. The beans could have used a bit more flavor. The slaw had to be pre made from a food supplier, I've tasted that flavor at food shows, and I don't care for it. I'm old school, and I like vinegar slaw with my bbq. I'm probably more critical than most because I've spent 34 years of my career in food service. I would prefer a bun or loaf bread over the buttered texas toast, but that's just my preference. I'm almost sure the menu said 1/2 bbq . It wasn't that much , I'm guessing 1/4 to 1/3 lb but not 1/2 lb. If it was, it would have been a much higher plate. Ok, I had a lot of negative comments, but I'm critical about food because I've done it so long. All that to say, I would go back I would just order diffently , probably a sandwich with chips and a drink.”

“Passing through on highway 45 & this is ALWAYS a stop for us, it’s something we plan around! Their ribs & pork bbq are top notch and honestly the best we’ve ever eaten anywhere around. “Best Chori-Queso in the entire area. Meaty, with thick creamy queso. The carne asada tacos are also terrific! Packed full of steak and accompanied by tasty green sauce, fresh cut onions and fragrant cilantro. The top-shelf margarita had an excellent kick and the taste of agave was perfect paired with the tacos. The music was upbeat and very Mexican exactly what I enjoy for a Taco Tuesday. Table service is also amazing and even the seaters/greeters had great vibes.”

“It is locally owned and not a chain with the big corporations, the food always tastes fresh and always gets to you hot.
My favorite is the Eathan burger, double hamburger patties bacon, and you can have it with the works, have to smash it down just to be able to wrap your mouth around it, they are very delicious, the significant other he lives the slug burgers, not sure what is in the burger. And everything is reasonably priced. 2 ppl can have a burger frie and a drink for under $16.00 before the tip.”
