I love this place but the prices keep going up too much and the ingredients get lesser and not as plentiful. I always get a quiche to go back to another state and i get the large salads in the cooler. The layered salad is not as good and not as plentiful and the quiche used to cost $14.00 and now it is $20 and a lot thinner and not as tasty. I am so disappointed. I hope this place survives.

The best southern food. This us takeaway only like a grocery store. Only complaint is the put nuts in a lot of items. Pot roast, Mac and cheese are some of my favorites.

Southern Star has a larger restaurant in Chattanooga but the little store front on Signal Mountain packs a big punch. Great hot entrees differ daily and there is always a good choice of salads, sandwiches, and desserts. I only wish this wonderful place had a sit-down space.

Make your way up Signal Mountain, Tennessee to taste this awesomeness. We went out the way to get there and it was worth the trip. Yummy food and free dessert if you spend $25. You gotta to try the Almond Joy Bread Pudding. The staff had friendly smiles and patient. Can't wait to go bacK! 10 Stars

This place is unreal when it comes to takeout. They've got it all - lunch, dinner, sides, and deserts! Dining in is also an option. They have a different blue plate special (protein + 3 sides) every day for only $10. Call in to hear the daily specials announcement. The pot roast is amazing. The catfish is good. Their sides are consistently on point. And the dessert choices are endless. I'm a regular here and a big fan! 5/5
