“What a great little Ice Cream shop! They have the traditional scooped with homemade waffle cones and classic cones as well. Frozen Yogurt wall with lots of options with tons of toppings. Friendly staff also. Nice spot the town should be proud of.“

“Best donuts is back! Their new location is on the south side of Reelfoot Avenue next to McKinnis Lawn and Union nails and near the Thai cuisine food truck. I spoke to the owner today on 2/23/2026 and she is happy to be back! They were serving all their tasty favorites! Their new location building also looks clean and modern and smells amazing. Update: after trying several different donut and pastries I can confirm they are as good as ever!“

“If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would.

I’m traveling for work and running on two hours of sleep today. I stopped at another mom-and-pop coffee shop earlier hoping for a great cup… and wow, it was not it. So during a break I thought, “I NEED real coffee,” and someone recommended Higher Ground Coffee Co.—best decision I’ve made all day.

I walked in looking rough—dragging, bags under my eyes, just begging the barista to help me pick something good. Not only were they incredibly kind, they actually knew their stuff. I couldn’t even decide between two drinks, so I got a small of both… and WOW. Both were absolutely delicious.

This place blows Starbucks, Scooter’s Coffee, and Dunkin’ out of the water. No comparison. If you’re anywhere near Union City, THIS is where you need to go for coffee.

The baristas were friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful—and I’m so thankful for them because your girl still has another 8-hour hospital shift ahead of her… but thanks to this coffee, I can make it.
