“Barbara’s Pavillion seems to be one of the only decent dive bars left anywhere in Dallas. The drinks are cheap, the vibes are good, the staff is friendly, the music is great. The fact that it’s a gay bar makes it even better. Barbara’s has barely changed in the sixteen years I’ve lived in Oak Cliff. I hope it never does.“

“Fun bar with sports on the TV and a casual but high energy vibe. They have a small patio out front, an upstairs deck and a large deck out back. The bartenders really make this place great. Their friendly, quick with drinks and just overall created a fun atmosphere. Prices are also good here.“

Other than that I do not go anymore as before. This is a CnW bar, but you hear no country unless you play it on the jukebox. It has become more of a SRAIGHT bar than a gay bar. Too many bridal parties. Too many kids. They need to teach REAL country dancing, not the line dancing BS they teach. Drag shows are ok but lose their appeal after a while. Same stale Queens doing the same schitk over and over. BORRRRRRRING

“Upon my first visit Chris was my bartender and helped me get familiar with the place. I went on a Tuesday to avoid a crazy crowd upon my first impression. The dancers came out around 11:00. There was no cover, and per Chris there's never one. Decent prices for drinks. I would go back.“

“I really enjoyed seeing the show in the rose room but couldn’t believe you’d request a tip on top of a cover charge. I have no problem tipping where appropriate, like for your servers and for the drag queens at the show. But it turns me off to go in the future regardless of enjoying the shows.“
