We happened to be in Abilene for the weekend And found Belle's Chicken Dinner House. It had lots of good reviews and we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did, the food was wonderful. It reminded me of a place in Crested Butte, Colorado called Slogar ( I don't know if it is even still open), but better and the prices were good.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the tables are too close together. Wait staff and visitors stood between our table and the table next to us chatting with the customers at that table. The butts of the wait staff and visitors were inches from our faces. There was someone standing there chatting throughout our entire meal. It was not a pleasant experience!

Great place to bring friends and family. It's hard to decide between the fried chicken or chicken fried steak. My favorites! Very delicious.Kid-friendliness: They have car seat slings for the baby or highchairs and booster seats for the toddlers. They're good about sanitizing them and promptly bringing them over to your table. Also, as an added bonus, the kids are welcome to request a number of dances that they can perform with the Belle's ladies. Great atmosphere. Fun for everyone!

The his is a great place for family style dinners. Everyone on the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had the fried catfish and my wife had the baked chicken. Both were delicious and flavorful. The bowls of sides kept coming until we couldn’t eat any more.

We ordered to go. All 3 had chicken fried steak with all the sides. I love dining in there. Love the building, the music, the atmosphere. But neither of my sons had eaten there before. EVERYTHING was hot and fresh. We loved how well seasoned everything is. BEST MEAL EVER!!!!!!!
