This place was a surprise. Just off of the interstate and close to Walmart and motels. The food was delicious and the price was lower than anticipated. Great cobbler and friendly service. Plenty of room to park.
I recently moved to the area and decided to try out Betty Rose's (north) and I'm so glad I did. I went in prepared to get a one meat potato to go but when I was greeted, the 2 employees (who were wonderful) listed so many great sounding things that I was thrown for a loop. chicken and dumplings sounded good but I'm picky about them and didn't want to get all the way home only to find that they weren't the kind I like. They offered me a sample! awesome...
Used to be my favorite place. But the last 3 times I've ordered "extra lean", I've gotten marble and chunks of fat. I absolutely HATE fat. Won't be ordering here any more.
