My wife and I attempted an anniversary dinner last night at Cork and Pig. The restaurant was not particularly busy and we were seated promptly. The hostess was polite. We were seated at a booth near the bar, right behind the hostess stand. We sat for over 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. We decided to leave and have dinner at Taylor County Taphouse. We drove 50 miles to celebrate a special occasion and were left very disappointed.

The food was good. Truffle fries are a MUST. Service wasn’t great with certain staff only stopping by every 15 minutes or so. We also had to ask for forgotten items. The main reason for the 2 stars is the wait. The place was not even busy yet. Arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday with expectations of a wait. But we got an outdoor table right away. 1hr and 40 minutes later, still no entrees. The fries came quick as an app (I’m sure they are readily available). With two hungry kids, hungry wife and myself, we were NOT pleased. Ordered fish and chips, grilled chicken and mac and cheese. Fish and chips was bland. Grilled chicken was bland. We won’t be going back. Not trying to hurt the place, just honest opinion.

Service here is exceptional. Has a pleasant classy atmosphere. Salads are fresh and flavorful.

Food is excellent but don't expect your drinks or food to arrive quickly. Get comfortable because it'll be a while.

Fav place to eat but just did us wrong. $10 my salad and look how tiny! Our order wasn't even ready when we went to pick it up. No one apologized or cared

Love the atmosphere, lake view, and the food. Food was great, but service was not great. Our server was not very attentive at all and did not have a great energy, had to ask another waitress that was waiting on a table nearby if she could assist as we were hardly being checked on. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins after about already 15-20 minutes of sitting there cause we never received any to begin with. Hostess, one of the men who brought our food out and Yvette the waitress who stepped in saved the experience.

Never disappointed coming here! Great food and great service, I wish they had more selections since we’ve tried almost everything!

The food was awesome! Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and the Beef Stroganoff. The beer selection was very good and a wide selection. Service was a little slow, but they were busy and we appreciate that they place quality over speed! The water view and dog friendly patio sets this place up for even greater success for us with pups!!!
