got the smothered rib tips, sooooo amazing!! and for only 16$? i would gladly pay 25 for the same. amazing amount of food & suuuch a good taste. 10/10. the customer service was also so amazing!!

This started with a chance meeting as Malcolm delivered food to the Koa Lounge. We couldn't leave town without eating thier food. Let's just say I have new standards for rating french fries, catfish and collard greens. The red beans and rice, and peach cobbler were also delicious. Our new friend at primal brewing ordered the gumbo and got legit crab claws! I'm in awe!!!! You guys are a gem!

After multiple experiences with Essence of Soul Food, there hasn’t been a single disappointment. The entree’s, sides, and appetizers are all great just like the amazing owners are! The Scott’s are exceptional. Highly recommended, but don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself!

First time there last night near the Kap lounge and let me tell you definitely some of the best food here in Abilene. If you want some delicious food would definitely recommend, not to mention they make you feel at home!

I’m from Louisiana and I definitely miss the food and finding these amazing people gives me a little taste of home. The food is wonderful, taste just like home. Most restaurants say Louisiana food but they never are, but this food is authentic. I bought food a month ago and they forgot my shrimp. I honestly didn’t think much of it but I was able to make it back a month later and they remembered me. They were so happy to rectify the situation and I’m grateful. I will always be a customer of there’s. I highly recommend the boudin egg rolls!

Don’t walk, run. The food, prices and hospitality are beyond measure.
