The servers are great and very fast for a Thursday, however the bouncers are incompetent, out of shape, and were hovering around certain ethnic groups (you can probably figure that out). Hire better employees.

Last month, me and my girlfriend went to guitars and Cadillacs in Abilene Texas and was having a good time. My girlfriend has go to the bathroom and upon her arrival if she notified me that there was so much bleach in the bathroom that she had reported to the bartender and you can smell bleach coming across the dance floor! One month later today we return to guitars and Cadillacs and was refused service by the owner! When I asked him why are we being refused he says I have the right to refuse anybody so leave premises or we will call the cops! Again I asked him why and he refused to tell me. I automatically know what it was so I told him that you need to make repairs and your establishment sucks!! That is the worst experience I ever had at guitars and Cadillacs I do not recommend it to anybody.

The loudest bar I’ve ever been to. I can’t go on the dance floor without ear plugs because it’s SO loud. It genuinely hurts to be anywhere near the dance floor.
My entire party tried talking to the DJ and he just ignored us. We went to the bar and tried to talk to somebody else about it and they said there’s nothing they can do. All of the staff working around the floor even plug their ears.

Front desk girls never know what they’re doing. I’m 22, she freaked out that I had an out of state ID as I provided my college student id. Trying to insinuate that I’m a minor. I’ve been coming here for four years and I’m VERY CLEARLY NOT A MINOR. Learn how to do your job better.

Was visiting from out of town and this place came recommended! Service was friendly, but getting robbed with those pours! Ordered a single shot drink that pour was about 2 seconds. It was ridiculous! When I questioned the Bartender, she said oh I just throw a bunch of stuff together to make a drink! SMH! Standard pour is a six count sometimes might even get away with four But two seconds someone’s gotta do better! I think the bartenders can use more training!

I’ve been coming to guitars since I was 18 with no problems at all. Tonight I went with my friends on college night expecting to have a fun night with my friends until I got kicked out for literally no reason. I was standing, hugging my boyfriend and then a bouncer came up and asked to see our IDs, so we gave them to him. The bouncer then said I was being kicked out for being “too intoxicated”. I had two drinks (I’m 21) and didn’t drink anything before I came. When we asked specifically what I did to be kicked out they said they wouldn’t be able to tell us and that Scott is too busy to talk to us. I’m just overall disappointed because I’ve always had a lot of fun at guitars and the way I was being treated was incredibly shocking to me.

Absolutely ridiculous experience at Guitars in Abilene. The place is already a dump — dirty floors, weird energy, and feels like it’s stuck in 2006. But what really pushed it over the edge was the way we were treated by the miserable woman working the front door. We went out Thursday, met up with friends (some of whom, yes, had been drinking beforehand — and yes, they were underage — not our responsibility). Two of them got kicked out, fine. But when we came back Saturday — without those girls — we were immediately stopped, accused of being drunk or high, and told we couldn’t come in. Why? Because the cranky redheaded lady at the door remembered us from Thursday and decided to judge us by association.We were completely sober, polite, and just trying to enjoy a night out. Instead, we were threatened with the cops for literally doing nothing wrong. It was obvious she had it out for us from the second we walked up. If Guitars wants to keep turning away paying customers based on some old woman’s personal grudges, no wonder the place is dead most nights.Hire someone who knows how to run a front door without acting like a bitter high school principal. Until then, avoid this place — hopefully someone else opens up a better place soon.
