I love being able to pick up homemade casseroles and soups and bread and cookies and salad! This place has great food especially I love the soups like the beef stew and the chicken and rice! It’s just like mama’s cooking!

Visited this restaurant 2 years ago don't really remember a lot about it we're on vacation for 3 weeks says Homestyle meals we eat a lot of Homestyle meals on the road. Must have been pretty good I have no bad memories at all of it sorry I don't remember but I guess that's what happens when you start to get over 65.

Their location is now in a shopping center on S. 27th. Just as good as I remember their food being when I was a kid! King Ranch Chicken has always been my favorite, but I recently got Beef Stroganoff and it was great, too. I think coming home to Austin after an Abilene visit with a couple of Swanzy's casseroles for quick dinners will be a new tradition. I wish I'd remembered this place years ago!
