“We went through the drive through and they explained every item on the menu to us since it was our first time. Then we sat in the little play area and ate. The cheese sticks, gizzards were fantastic but OMG!!!! The funnel cake I had ( Kevin Bacon) was to die for. I can’t wait to go again. I highly recommend this place ♥️

Kid-friendliness: My grandkids lost their minds with how big their treats were. Plus they got to play while they waited and played during and played after. I actually got to enjoy my treats because they were entertained. Very fun place!“

“I absolutely love coming here for the elote. They have elote blanco which, for me, is hard to find. They have a great snacks too. This place is near my mom’s house so it’s a great excuse to come visit my mom! 😂 The staff is super nice and fast. I believe the wait time was around 5 minutes total. “Young’s has that soft ice, excellent service, and has been a mcallen legacy stop for decades. We like the silver fox flavor and they are one of the last places to have it. I asked for more syrup in my raspa and offered to pay extra and they said no problem. They told me they were thinking about discontinuing carrying the silver fox flavor. We told them how hard it is to find and how much it means to us and they were happy to keep it going. Truly a place that cares about making people happy. Feels like that’s rare. That’s why young’s is legendary in my book.“

“The wife and I are on a family vacation and we’re cutting through McAllen and on a hot day wanting an ice cream to cool off we had originally on our way to another spot but once we got to a stop light saw this spot on our right side and decided to go here we went through there Drive Thru the staff was really helpful in explaining what each item was and came with we got a nieve loca, elote, tosti-locos and to wash it all down a limonada hands down the nieve loca was one of the favs the mangos they added around were so juicy fresh and sweet the mango ice cream we couldn’t get enough of and got sad once it came to an end the tosti locos were our 2nd fav and man these didn’t disappoint salty spicy and camarones mmmmmm delicious the corn the chile líquido that was on the corn was not our fav if it would’ve been de polvo it would’ve been delicious and the limonada was so refreshing we finished it so quick we wish we had another“

“Ok i went here monday evening to try the chamoyada and it was great,tried taking my husband tues stood in a very long line just to be told half way through they were out of chamoyada very disappointing,if its your top seller and you see the business is being hit why not be prepared? The hours of operation say it opens at 12 30 pm so i was there waiting in my vehicle the lady and young man get there to open place at about 12 20 just to tell us the people waiting for them to open that they have no corn or chamoyadas until an hour? How is this ok? Why not get there early to get the establishment up and going for a productive day full of sucess so you have product to sell by the time the place opens as it says. Its like if you go to burger king or any other place and it says they open at 6 obviously employees get there to prep so by 6 you can start serving. Make this make sense people are making the drive over here to have some good chamoyadas so please be prepared and make things better“

“Stopped by to try one of the monthly specials. Our first visit here. The staff was great. They made sure to make our order the way we wanted. Very clean store. So many flavors to choose from. Then do I get a cone or cup. My wife got the waffle cone. She thought it had a chocolate dipped bottom. Alas it did not. So Ii helped her eat it. I like getting mine in a cup.
