Stopped to use restrooms & fill gas tank. Beef BBQ sandwich was delicious! It was large, tasty & tender and loaded with all the fixings (onions, pickles, bbq sauce & jalapeños). Will stop again for quick sandwich.
Very solid ‘Q! Unexpected given that the same spot does 2-minute pizzas, etc. in a travel center setting. Guy said he taught himself to smoke meats on the job over the last 6 years. He’s got the brisket dialed-in! (Great cucumber salad too.)
Whether you are on the road to or from Houston to or from San Antonio or Houston to or from Austin, this little gem is not well known nor advertized but it is well worth your time to stop and eat. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Unlike other BBQ places in the area that have several billboards, this place gives larger quantities and better tasting food.
