“I have been driving though with my 18 wheeler to grab lunch for a bit. I love it is easy to come in an out. Everyone is very happy and friendly. The food is always hot and ready to go. Thank you for all you do. Keep up the great work.”
“Stopped to use restrooms & fill gas tank. Beef BBQ sandwich was delicious! It was large, tasty & tender and loaded with all the fixings (onions, pickles, bbq sauce & jalapeños). Will stop again for quick sandwich.”
“Great atmosphere, pretty good service today, excellent, and I mean EXCELLENT very large pork chops! the potato skins and the club sandwich is fantastic.Kid-friendliness: So kid friendly they serve the school before the regular customers for the buffet. lol. I was kinda pieved about it at first, not once I saw my pork chops though. those youngins can have the buffet. I'm a big boy and the two pork chops and broccoli and salad made me so full my wife needed a wheel barrow to roll me out. ?? excellent food and cook today, and great service. was told the cook had been there about 6-7 years. Y'all should give him a big fat raise”
“3 years later and this place is still amazing! Now they have a full menu of great food, and they are kicking butt in the beer, seltzer, and cocktail game. Travis and Raven continue to better an already amazing establishment.Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a flight of beer and a klobasnik! I have loved this place since it opened, and will continue to show support!”
“Such a wonderful place for dinner. The staff was friendly and server was on point with refills. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. My wife said the beef Marsala was awesome! We will definitely be returning another night.”
“A most wonderful atmosphere with the friendliest and helpful staff. Food is delicious and there are some unusual delicacies such as their special cauliflower entrée for vegans that makes the most wonderful appetizer for us meat eaters.”
“Ice cream is good and creamy. Went for the first time and the person attending to us was very nice and explained where the icecream was from. Got some samples. Will come back to try the cream soda”
“My son and I were visiting from California. Saw this on the side of the road. Made a quick stop and had some of the best Thai food I've had since I lived in Thailand!”
“The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Every item I ate was delicious. You can choose buffett or individual order. Don’t underestimate this place and pass up a good food experience…. Stop and enjoy!!!”
“Blueberry muffin and brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso is a must try. It has a calm, beautifully designed and decorated cozy environment. We enjoyed our time and had a restful break after a long drive?.”
“What I ordered had a good taste. The service was really good, the servers were friendly. Food was brought to us faster than other places I have been to. Overall, it's a good place to eat.”
“Awesome spot! Soooo much character. We rode our bikes over from Thousand Trails campground. Bar is clean, and bartender/owner has incredible stories. In fact you can even pick up a few of the books he's written if you're lucky! Shuffleboard, pool, big TV, and cheap beer. Awesome spot, even if there aren't cars in the lot... stop!”
“Great place for a small town. We were passing thru on our way home and stopped for lunch. The lady waiting on was so friendly and made us laugh!! The weather was nice and it was enjoyable sitting at the outside tables. It was Friday, lent and the fish and shrimp were spot on. We’ll be back when we pass back thru.”
“Had a great first experience trying this place out, my turkey panini was delicious, and my toddler enjoyed her eggs and bacon! The fruit cup was fresh. Food came quickly. Cant wait to go back and try more of their food.”
“It was really good. Such a fun place. Great food and drinks. Cold beer. They are short handed as far as servers and there seems to be confusion as to who is actually your server but it worked. Grilled chicken was some of the best I’ve had. Hubs loved the wings. They were huge. Salad was fresh. Definitely recommend.”
“Blake's Kitchen & Kocktail is a great place to unwind after a long day. The servers go out of their way to make you feel welcome, the good is good and reasonable priced, and the cocktails are always on point.”
“Watching my carbs, I don't get in here too often. But found what my wife ordered didn't come with pasta, so we may be dining here more often. Portions were very large and shareable for our appetite. Staff was friendly and attentive.”
“This visit was very good. Our waiter Erik did his job with great pride. Food was very delicious (tried a new dish for me). I love when I see employees do their job with pride!”
“I always pass by the sign while heading up to Houston on IH-10 and I finally stopped by to enjoy this barbecue. I stopped by at 1:30 in the afternoon on a rainy Wednesday evening and they're only about three patrons in the restaurant and a couple people in the drive-thru. I enjoyed the quick service and the very reasonable prices. I had a two meat plate with brisket and sausage (which I thought were pretty generous portions) and three sides which consisted of mac and cheese, coleslaw, and green beans. I thought the mac and cheese needed a bit of pepper but otherwise it was pretty commensurate with other barbecue joint mac and cheese's. I thoroughly enjoyed the green beans and the coleslaw and I thought both were very tasty and flavorful. I got a free piece of bread but it was just run of the mill white loaf, nothing special. Now onto the meat! I found the brisket to be a little salty in certain areas where I got pieces of bark, but otherwise I found it to be very tender and succulent. I enjoyed seeing the visible smoke ring on every piece of meat and it tasted nicely when dipped into the homemade barbecue sauce. With my one piece of bread, I made a little brisket sandwich by adding some pickles and onions to the mix. I really enjoyed the sausage which I thought was quite excellent and have no complaints about it whatsoever and will order again when I come back. I also ordered a pecan pie, and as the kids say these days "it was mid".According to prior Google review photos, It seemed that there used to be a multitude of taxidermied animal friends on the walls of this restaurant but they must have remodeled as the number of animal heads on the inside has reduced dramatically and is far more tasteful looking (check out some of the prior photos and you'll agree that it was a lot of eyes staring at you when you take a bite out of that pork rib). Other than the heads on the wall, The interior was a bit barebones in terms of decor and you are served on polystyrene plates and plastic utensils so don't expect Ritz-Carlton level service. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I rank it in the high average compared to other Texas barbecue joints. I would definitely go back again.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat level entry with a pretty smooth parking lot. All tables are chair height.”
“Eating at Taco Tony’s since 2010 and while it has been consistently fair to good, under daughter Martha’s leadership, she has this place going! they have made it hard to go to other restaurants when you can’t get any better Carne GuiSada, or enchiladas than you can here. Thank you. Well done.”
“Not much to look at from the outside. Both subways are just OK to me, but this one had really good service and the staff seems friendly and happy to be at work which is a plus. Got the meatball marinara protein they put extra cheese and I qualified for a free cookie by using the app so that was also a plus. Overall this is a average stock subway but the food quality and staff is a better than average.”
“Edit: On the other hand what we ended up ordering was delicious.First time I’ve been told you have to have the ham on a breakfast Jack. Been ordering them without it most of my life.”
“Not bad for a small town & hidden a nook. They have a good add on deal which includes soup, egg roll and a butterfly shrimp.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian optionsParking: Plenty of parking. Restaurant is located in the same building as hotel right next door to check in office.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available”
“Excellent service.Dietary restrictions: If I have an allergic reaction or good allergy it's provided for certain foods that may contain those allergens and I can avoid ordering it.”
“I primarily go to a Sonic for some type of ice cream: a Reeses Peanut Butter Blast, a shake, or a soft-serve sundae. Love the beverage options as well. For a fun date night, hubby and I like the drive-in style of doing something different and getting a slush or ice cream.”
“This roadside subway fulfilled the expectations of Subway with good sandwhiches and snails pace service caused more by the place being woefully understaffed, rather than the worker being slow. Actually the wonderful lady making our sandwhiches was fast enough to probably compete in some kind of sandwhich slinging showdown- but hand making sandwhiches for every person, plus running the register is just a slow process.”
“Came here on the way from Austin. The restaurant is clean and nice. I ordered the mini tacos with a side of rice and was very pleased with my order, however I do wish it came with a jalapeño. The food came out in a timely manner. The waitress wasn’t enthusiastic but nor was she rude or mean to us. The pricing is okay, other places are a tad cheaper and include more food. I would still come back, I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal”
“This was just a stop and go kind of meal. We just got a couple of Whoppers and headed out. The staff seemed friendly but it did take a while to come into the speaker, but they were polite overall. We got our food correctly and in a timely matter.”
“Very nice little restaurant. Been family owned for many years. Food homemade and so so good! Prices even better. They have specials all the time. Worth the drive out to eat but check their hours before going.”
