Food quality has gone down from the past. The only good thing was that it does not take long to get your order.Received my order and it was lacking sauce, I asked for more and they stated they had to charge more to coat the dry rice! Very disappointing, was a favorite of ours!

This place was so depressing. It was such an unwelcoming dining room. So austere. The food was inedible except for the white rice. :( I feel so bad leaving a bad review. I'm sure it's hard to make a go but I would NOT recommend going here.

We were visiting Alpine for several days and decided to do Carry Out at the Oriental Express which was just up the road from our hotel. The outside is nothing to brag about and the inside is basic but very clean. The lady that took our order was gracious and efficient. The food was excellent and so much of it that we had enough for 2 meals. A local sitting waiting on his carry out said it was by far superior to the competition in Alpine and we believe it. They were very careful in handling the food and gave us all the utensils, etc we needed without asking for them. Highly recommend.

The place was pretty spacious and also clean from in and out. Went here during Lunch Time, hoped we knew that the buffet is dinner time.Cashier was nice and not rushing.Food was not as we expected. Ordered General Chicken was different and with mildly taste of fish sauce. Buttered Shrimp that you can’t taste butter and it’s fried - it was good but you can taste the fishiness and they didn’t clean the shrimp before frying.We will try to eat here again if there’s a chance but will not order the same food.
There are not very many options for Asian food in Alpine, Tx so I was really hoping this restaurant was good. And I have to say it is. The restaurant itself is a little outdated but they do have dine in and take out options. The staff was friendly and courteous and I anticipate I will be going back again.

Traveling through to Big Bend and found this place. I had special requests for no msg and low sodium and they were accommodating. Food was good for the area and if ever in Alpine again, I’d return.

No buffet due to covid but the food is very good . They give you everything in throw away containers so easy clean up other wise the food is very good

Clean. Polite. Answer their phone quickly. My favorite is Singapore noodles, dumplings, and teriyaki chicken. Orders are done quickly. Food is fresh. Fair prices. They are a little less busy at 2pm but customers are still coming by at this time.

We ordered to go on a Sunday night in June. We were hoping to enjoy the buffet but it was not offered. The servings are huge. We ordered two entrees but only received one container of rice. I wish they had separated it into two smaller containers.
