Stopped in for lunch while in town. Burger was excellent. Fresh ingredients, really great bun. Came with a ton of fries.
Wonderful bar, great food, friendly people and nice atmosphere!!!!! One of the best places to come in town! Love this place š
Incredibly kind people with great service. Served a group of 12 students incredibly quickly and had live music and great vibes the whole time, including live music! Definitely a place worth checking out while in Alpine.
The bar tender was fantastic lady the food was excellent as well had fun. The atmosphere was peaceful.
Absolutely awful food and drinks. I ordered a Mexican Martini (off their own drink menu) and 10 minutes later I was given a lukewarm glass with a room temperature shot of tequila and two olives floating in it.
The tacos were laughably bad. The nachos were slightly more edible but still nothing special.
Just avoid at all costs really.
She was amazing
We just had lunch at Amigos. Monica provided great service. The Green Chile Cheeseburger was awesome.
Good food, great service and good drinks. Live music.

Opinions are like fanny holes, everyone has one. But damn, the smoke from the kitchen on top of the heat is killing the mood. You can see it billowing out the door before you walk in. Nice place but yāall killing us with the inferno. Might be why the staff looks miserable. Feel like Iām in the movie Backdraft.
Basic run if the mill sports bar. A/C must have been out. It was hot inside.

I don't often leave reviews, at least bad ones. But, I had to this time.
We went while in town for a couple of days and it was just not good. There were sooo many issues overall. But, the waitress, while not the best, was nice and did seem to try her best.
Our issue was the quality of food and the price. My bf got the fish and chips. It was literally frozen fish like you'd get in the store and eat at home. The fish wasn't bad, but it was literally frozen fish, and the plate was $20+ all on its own. Not fresh, hand battered fish you'd see at a restaurant.
The salsa, queso, and guacamole, you could get all three for $12, or salsa for $4, queso for $6, and guacamole for $6. They were TINY bowls. Definitely not worth it. Picture attached for reference.
In terms of salsa, just a heads up.... I know this is a personal preference, so I don't hold it against them, but know that the salsa has cumino or something in it. I, personally, didn't like it.
My rice was crunchy. Flavor was ok but crunchiness not so much. The beans were the part of my meal. The tacos weren't terrible but they were not great overall.
Definitely one of the worst meals we've had in a long time, unfortunately.

Stopped in for lunch with my uncle and cousin and had a fantastic experience! We had the burger, chicken fried steak and the house salad. All of our foods were great, and I love the bar area! Would definitely come back for good food and to watch a game. And our server, Alex, was friendly and polite with great service. Will definitely make Amigos my go-to spot when passing through Alpine

My wife and I arrived in Alpine after dark and after driving 6 hours, could not find any place open to get a salad for dinner. We saw a small sign in the corner of a building on a side street that said āGood Food in Hereā. While it looked like a biker bar(previously it was the āOld Gringoā bar), we werenāt looking for the usual bar fried food. We took a chance and went in. The decor is definitely sparseāon purposeā satisfying because of that approach, with a small outfitted stage in the corner, four large T.V. screens that hang from the ceiling(sound turned off, Hallelujah!)and the restaurant is separate from a very cozy and well appointed bar.
We went to the order window between the bar and restaurant and were greeted by a sincerely friendly, charming, professional and intelligent woman with a wee black nose ring. She mystifyingly seemed very glad to see us(like she had known we were coming), weary travelers that we were, and showed us the menu. Success! They offered a BIG Greek salad (among many other items), so we each got one and also a side of perfect guacamole and I ordered a cup of black coffee to which our server happily replied āIāll brew a fresh pot for you.ā When all arrived, gracefully served by the woman who took our order, I knew this place was one of those hidden jewels that make traveling a joy. The salads were large, fresh, delicious and we got to watch a womanās calf roping event on TV at the same time, that I marveled at. My only regret is that I didnāt get our serverās name for this review. We ended up eating lunch there every day of our four-day stay. Our first server, who maybe works the evening shift only, was replaced in the day by another very friendly and funny server named Alex. When we came in the following day he, very much a gentleman and professional, he treated us like royalty! I personally donāt care at all for sports bars with TV screensātheyāre just not for me. āAmigosā, true to their name showed me that ā Hey Bob, maybe you should open your mind a bit and look at whatās out hereā, like a friend might. Not bad, great food, served effortlessly with a life lesson for dessert. Amigos: highly recommended.
Vegetarian options: Greek, not Caesar salad, perfect fresh guacamole.
Dietary restrictions: One can eat very well without dairy, meat, or gluten if thatās what they choose to do.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to watch some football and get some food with a group of buddies and had a great experience. Eero is a fantastic server and went above and beyond for our table. I enjoyed the Buffalo Wings so much that I actually asked to buy a bottle of the sauce. Eero legitimately tried so hard to send me home with a bottle, but unfortunately they were down to the last one. But the efforts didn't go unnoticed. The green chili burger and fries were fantastic and cooked perfectly. And the old fashioned with the Bulleit Rye was one of the best old fashioned I've had. I will definitely be stopping the next time I'm in the area. Great food, great drinks, and great service.
