Definitely one of my go to's for quick chicken! But be prepared to wait for certain side items. If you order corn nuggets you might as well pull to the side. But overall it's a good quick fix.

I have lived here in Alvarado for 5 years now, I fully want to support our local businesses. I cannot continue to support Chicken Express. My family and I usually have chicken twice monthly, at first I would just go thru the drive and they would get parts of my order wrong. I continued to use this establishment anyway, hoping it was just a bad day or a one off exception. I started to order online, giving hours of advance notice to prevent any miscues, still missing parts of my order. I chose to give them yet another chance, only to be horribly dissappointed yet again. We ordered a 16 piece family meal, when you order online, it gives you options for which pieces you would like, we chose mostly thighs and legs with a couple of breasts and wings to equal 16 pieces. When we get home and find that there are of 16 pieces almost half of them being wings. For the price we paid and almost half of our order is wings. Last straw, will not spend another dime with them.

Food was good. Taking of the order was awesome. Getting the order took 35 minutes. We were in the drive thru and 7 cars behind us were taken care of ( we were at the window) before they told us to pull over to spot 1. Yes I was not happy.

So if you want chicken that tastes just ok, and sides without any flavor that take 40 minutes to get this is the best chicken express for that! They took so long without any line to speak of, they messed up my order forcing me to drive back to get my fries and I was a fool to not check my bank account info but they wrongly charged me too, I was only supposed to pay $16.14 but I was charged for $25 and im too far away right now to deal with it. Avoid this chicken express the best you can, don't let them being one of the only chicken restaurants around there trick you.

Second time I’ve been here hours before closing and the chicken has been sitting out dry as hell under a heat lamp for hours. I don’t understand if you are gonna drop fries consistently why not chicken too. Is it too much work for the staff? Get rid of the chicken express license if you’re gonna be trash. Also when I get up to order and you say regular or spicy and I say spicy then you say it’s gonna take 8 min to make spicy tenders why are we even offering it right now then!?!?!? Regular chicken sitting there for hours spicy chicken takes 8 min. A joke of a chicken express I see why it never has a line anymore.
