“Gordon Street has very good food, it’s surprisingly good and cheap. We live in Downtown Houston where everything is super expensive and usually not great. Gordon streets food is always better and always 1/2 the price. When we want to unwind and sit in the peace and quiet this is one of our favorites.“

“Way more than an ordinary burger joint! A couple of buddies and I had lunch here Thursday after also dining here a couple of weeks ago. This place has it figured out. I’ve had the Magic Shroom and the Buffalo Bill (both made with bison), and one of my buddies had his burger made as a bowl (they’ll do that for any of their burgers). As odd as it sounds, it looked delicious (and was according to Mick)! An entire burger without the bun! They offer several different high-quality meats including Waygu and bison. Share an order of their truffel fries - over the top fantastic! Excellent atmosphere, excellent preparation and presentation of their burgers and sides, and all their ingredients are fresh. And the people - they really seemed genuinely concerned about our comfort and enjoyment of our experience there. They checked on us at least 2-3 times after we got our order to make sure all was well. This is definitely going on our regular list. Be adventurous and give it a try!“

“Vegetarian options: The place is super clean and comfortable. The whole family always go together over there on Sundays, we sit outside by the terrace to enjoy the music and eat pizza. This time, we chose the all vegetable pizza and made our own version of it since we were allowed to add everything that we wanted. We picked the artichoke pan pizza (not bread), yummy delicious ! As dessert, we order the " brownies bliss" desset... 😋 ...AWESONE !!! DELICIOUS!!!! My grandkids (7 and 11 years old) loved the atmosphere and food. They even danced to the music . The whole family had a wonderful 3 hours of fun !!!! And we will continue attending . Service is always great! Friendly group of people. ❤️

“Hello, fabulous Floyds family!

I have been visiting Floyds for many, many years, starting with the Heights location (I believe it went from Floyds Cajun Shack to the Mardi Gras Cafe, then to Floyds Seafood). I got my parents hooked on Floyds when they moved to Pearland, and also also converted my sister (who lives in the UK). We make a point to go any time she's in town visiting. While my parents have both passed now, I am still a regular and love so many of the menu items. My weekend tradition is to visit a restaurant for lunch and read for about an hour as I eat and Floyds has always been in my rotation.

I could rave about/beg you to bring back the Akaushi steak, or ramble on about the exquisite crab bisque, or the sensational creamy crab dill salmon with asparagus, but this review is about this past Sunday's lunch experience (8/3/25). To give you some context, I recently began chemotherapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. What that means is that my immune system is compromised to the point that I can no longer have many of the things I usually eat at a restaurant (medium rare steak, side salads, etc.). Part of my dietary restrictions specify that any steak I order must be cooked at least medium/145 degrees.

This was my first Floyds visit since starting chemo and I was blessed to have Anna as my server. I explained how I really wanted the Wagyu steak but there were specific criteria that were necessary due to chemo. She listened to me, she heard what I was saying (especially my half-joking comment about how medium rare is the ONLY way to eat a steak), and assured me that the kitchen would be appraised of the situation. Not once did I feel like I was bothering her, being a pest, taking up too much of her time, being high maintenance, etc. She even took a phone pic of the poster in the kitchen showing the doneness levels/temperatures of steak.

When my meal arrived, Anna came back as soon as she could to assure me that the kitchen had verified the temperature before plating it, and asked if it was cooked properly (it SO was). I know it wasn't my usual medium rare steak but it still tasted absolutely amazing. I am firmly of the opinion that there were magic spices involved in the preparation of said steak.

Anna continued to swing by my table, never being intrusive, just wonderfully attentive, warm, and caring. I felt like I was dining at a friend's house, not a restaurant. I told her that she was one of the BEST servers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and that I would ask to be seated in her section the next time I came back. This was a master class in customer service, putting the diner first, and being incredibly gracious with her time.

My hope is that Anna and her supervisor(s) get to read this and know what an amazing job she is doing. Because of her service, I can feel confident eating at Floyd's, despite my dietary restrictions/limitations, and know that my meal will be as top notch as the service.

“My experience at this restaurant was great! We came in with a party of 14 on a Thursday night and were seated fairly quickly. Our server Angelique was very attentive and took great care of each of us—we never had to worry about our drinks being empty. The food was great as always; I enjoyed the Handcrafted Orange Soda, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Triple Chocolate Pizookie. Overall a wonderful experience, and I look forward to coming back soon!“
