Great Texas BBQ! Doug's is a Traditional hole in the wall spot, owned and run by Henk, the man cutting up the ribs behind the counter. We ordered the 3 rib plate which includes potato salad, cold slaw, extra sauce and a drink. We are travelers and came to experience hometown Texas bbq. The atmosphere was charming, the service was hometown friendly and the food delicious!
Talk about a hole in the wall! Just left there. It's so homey and the food was really, really good. Given, they were chopped brisket sandwiches, they were pretty damn good. Potato salad was also pretty good, husband enjoyed the hot link he'd gotten.
As a traveler I stumbled across this place from the reviews, it absolutely DID NOT DIsSAPOINT! FROM BEGINNING TO END AUTHENTIC. Now, from what I understand there Is new owners and the guy who just bought it has been struggling to find help but making it happen very well! The food was out of this world, I had the chopped beef sandwich (with sauce) and some potato salad both were delicious. They had all the fixings too (peppers, pickles, onions) I can't say enough good about...
