El Carbonero Restaurant Y Pupusería | Salvadoran is a clean and pleasant place. The service is excellent, with a friendly and efficient waitress. The food is very good at the right price and fair quantity. A jalapeno and queso pupusa is surprisingly big and filling, loaded with jalapeno and cheese, soft and absolutely delicious. The Salvadorian fajitas are a combination of shrimp, chicken, steak, pork chop, and sausage with LOTS of veggies; the meat is wonderfully flavored and tender. The thick corn tortillas have excellent flavor but are a little on the dry side. The salsa is on the wimpy side, but asking for "mas picante" brings a sauce that is pretty much pure Chile. Prices are a bit on the higher end, with pupusas at $3.50 each and fajitas over $20 for one person, though one order makes three meals. This place is highly recommended.
