This dining restaurant is located inside the United food store at 45 th and Bell st. Have a great variety of foods and a great, value pried salad bar. Plus is plenty of seating.

My husband and I went there to eat. The only thing they would cook was breakfast. They would not make a grilled cheese sandwich and fries for me. It's probably a good thing because they couldn't even cook breakfast right. My husband ordered over medium eggs and they were so hard that you could knock a bull over with them. They were cold after we waited almost an hour waiting for his food. There is nothing but a bunch of old confused employees working there. They couldn't keep the orders straight even though they would give you a number for your table. Half of the coustomers had to go ask for their food because the employees couldn't find the customers that the food belonged to. My husbands food was horrible. I m glad I didn't get anything to eat there. It would have been a waste of money. Henry D needs to send all of them back to the nursing home where he helped them excape.

A new friend suggested we come here for dinner a couple of nights ago. I had never been here but she evidently is a regular. In fact the people behind the counters greeted her by name, LOL. She also seemed to know a lot of the customers. I could see why she likes the place. The prices are reasonable and the food was pretty good. You don't feel rushed to hurry out of there either, you can relax and visit. After looking over the menu I decided to get one of the daily specials, a chicken enchilada casserole that came with two sides. I could have gotten rice and beans but it's hard to get your vegetables in when you're traveling so I ordered the collard greens and the green beans. Everything was very good. I even had leftovers to bring home. I got a bowl of soup to go with it. I think it was only $2.69 for the small size. I chose the turkey kale and it was really delicious. I decided to add in a drumstick so I could try out their Fried Chicken and when the lady behind the counter heard me say that I just wanted a piece so I could try it out she just threw a piece in for no extra charge so I could try it. The only places I could seem to find in town that serve Fried Chicken are KFC and Church's, no restaurants that I have discovered. The drumstick I ate at Henry D's was excellent, plump with meat and a nice light crunchy coating fried to a crisp. I didn't have room for dessert but they did have some peach cobbler that looked awful good. To my surprise my friend called me back this morning and asked if I wanted to go back to Henry's so we could visit a while longer. They serve breakfast until 2 or 3 o clock so I decided to get a breakfast that was about $6. It had eggs, hash browns, three large pieces of bacon and a large piece of healthy toast in some sort of whole grain bread. Everything was very good. Sometimes I splurge on a meal one day so I like to eat inexpensively the next day. I'm going to have to definitely keep this place in mind for when I want an inexpensive meal. They give you plenty of food for the price, enough to take home leftovers for another meal the next day even. They also had some pretty fresh looking sandwiches in the refrigerated section for only $2-4. They even have some guys making and serving sushi across from the American food counter. They gave me a sample and it was very good. I didn't ask the prices since I wasn't getting that. Somebody in another review said that this was a hangout for seniors and I can't disagree with that. My friend and I are both seniors although she's 15 years older than I am and most of the people I saw in there had gray hair. There were a few young families with toddlers also. My philosophy about places that attract seniors is that we appreciate good tasting food for a reasonable price and that's what this place has.

United Supermarket on 45th Bell Street, has an issue with transferring phone calls to the correct place. I have not tried to order from Henry DS three times within the last month and have gotten nowhere. Henry DS used to have the best customer service and food and a clean atmosphere to sit in. Now this location on 45th and Bell has gone downhill. They have lost my service from now.

This is a "family" restaurant, not as David A. states, only for older people. It has a wide menu and serves fresh food made from scratch. The salad bar is great and prices are reasonable. It is a meeting place for people of all ages. One sees family with small children as well as older retired individuals. It is hard to believe that this is a restaurant inside a grocery store. And probably the best thing I can say about it, is that it is one of the most popular places where local residents frequent.

I haven't had lunch or dinner yet, but breakfast was great! The ladies that work the register are so sweet.

D's Breakfast is just right. Perfect way to start your morning! Make sure you get coffee to go. Or you'll get a small mug.

Be careful- they card here. Be prepared to show your AARP card before ordering! Seriously, this has turned into a senior's coffee chat shop (from the retirement home nearby?). The breakfast looks good though.
