The food is just as good as homemade, and they have a great menu to satisfy any of your urges. Great home atmosphere with great staff and customers, all are very friendly!! Don't want to sit and dine they have drive in and order by phone for immediate pickup. Highly recommend!!!!

Oh my! I haven't been to a Home Plate Diner in probably 15+ years since the last one closed in Lubbock and that one had really gone downhill towards the end.This one is exactly like I remember the ones in Lubbock. The shrimp basket is still amazing and the curly fries and mac and cheese really sealed the deal.I'd driven by this one many times and was hesitance to go on because there were never any cars in the lot. So glad I did though. Great food and the young ladies at the counter are really sweet.Will definitively be back! Maybe a burger next time.
Chicken fried steak was absolutely disgusting. It's a frozen patty covered in the most bland gravy I've ever tasted. Fries had no flavor, thankfully they have ketchup to drown them in. The cobbler is chunked up pre made pie crust with canned filling. I assume all the ratings higher than 1 star are accustomed to microwave dinners at home. Left more food on the table than we ate, this is saying something as the portions are small. Will not be back, as everyone in my household currently have stomach pains from the food we ate, and are fighting over the bathrooms.
Food is ok but needed more seasoning. Girl behind the desk does lots of cussing when I had my family sitting right there. My kids were not happy with it. So not a good place for families.

The woman at the register was amazing. Her name was Erika. She was very helpful and patient. While I was eating, I noticed that she would stay busy constantly bussing tables in between helping customers at the register. Keep up the great work!!!
