The food was ok not like Louisiana even though based like a boil at home. It lacked flavor and over cooked. The service was good and the people working were very nice. I wasn’t too impressed by atmosphere. It was to dark to see anything and I don’t like fighting my food to eat.
Our waitress was Faith she was an excellent waitress so friendly. she was very beat 💓 She took the time go over the menu and how to order the seafood boils. We had our drinks and sweet potatoes very quickly. We shared the seafood boil and each of us had a cup of lobster bisque. My husband Ernie and I highly recommend Hook and Reel.
While we had a great time at Hook and Reel, thanks to the lively atmosphere and stellar service, our experience was unfortunately dampened by a possible issue with the shellfish. About two hours after enjoying a meal that included their lobster bisque and Cajun boil (with cooked lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, fried calamari, and corn), I experienced an unpleasant bout of diarrhea. It's worth noting that my wife, who had a smaller portion of the shellfish, experienced no issues...
