Great staff and wonderful food! Visited while passing through and will 100% make it a go to the next time I’m in town.

YCSF never disappoints. Our extended family of tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors all love the creative menu and friendly staff. We each have a different favorite. Try the coconut soda…it’s absolutely the best thing ever!

Quick service & the best pub- style (vegan even) smash burger I've ever feasted on. Support local and try 'em out if you haven't!

The Al Pastor Taco and the Animal Fries were great, especially if you add jalapeños! 10/10

Vegetarian options: They have a non-meat substitute for just about everything!

Dietary restrictions: The person taking our order was very clear about allergens and dietary restrictions when I asked for a couple ingredients off of my order! I had asked for them to be removed just because of personal preference but she made sure they weren’t allergies!

I've gone twice now and while I love the service and atmosphere the food is so adventurous that it's hard to find something enjoyable without asking a million questions.

Dietary restrictions: If you have lot of allergies it might be difficult to find safe food on their menu. It's good food but it's difficult to not be a difficult customer when you can't immediately tell what comes on a dish.

Passing thru town, staying at local hotel...looking for a place to have dinner. Found this cool place with an eclectic vibe...both in atmosphere and the menu. Intrigued by the menu and what was on tap. We ended up getting the Hulk Taco, Fish Taco, the Garlic/ Parm fries and a the Checkered Vans IPA. Not too many others there, we got there about 6PM on Saturday and our order came out pretty quick. The tacos were great. Huge fish fillet on my Taco. Loved the red onions n cabbage with the sauce. Wife's Taco had a very flavorful jerked chicken taste. The fries were the best garlic/parm I've had. Two types of parm on them, crispy and the remoulade was a nice dipping sauce. Amarillo foodies...WHERE WERE YOU TONIGHT?!?! You gotta try it. We live in AZ, but if we were here, we'd hit up this place often. Thanks for a great dinner on our travels.

“Most intentional Smashburger I’ve ever had!” ??

I love when a good Google search leads me to a hidden gem, and that’s exactly what Yellow City in Amarillo, TX is. Small town, BIG chef flavors! Every bite felt intentional, from the balance of flavors to the care in presentation. Even the house salad and homemade peach preserves were fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully crafted. You can tell the chef pours heart and creativity into each dish, making this place stand out in a way that’s rare for small-town dining.

The selection of local beers on tap was also a fantastic touch, really adding to the experience and giving me a taste of Amarillo’s craft scene. It’s clear that Yellow City focuses on celebrating the local community, which adds another layer to the dining experience.

Now, about the famous fish taco – while it didn’t fully meet my expectations (I was hoping for a super crispy batter), the fish itself was flaky and cooked to perfection, which showed the chef’s technique. I would have preferred a thinner tortilla to let the fish and the fantastic sauces take center stage. The sauce, by the way, was abundant – as a sauce lover, I enjoyed every bit of it, but I can see how someone less into sauces might find it a bit much. It’s a small adjustment in an otherwise excellent dish.

Would I come back? ABSOLUTELY! Yellow City offers more than just great food – it’s an intentional dining experience that shows respect for local ingredients and culinary creativity. Can’t wait to try more from the menu next time!

Waited 25 minutes for two tacos and an order of fries to go. Restaurant not even half full at 2 pm. Are you kidding me? Been here multiple times over the years. Will not be back - ever.

Appearances are nothing when it comes to Yellow City Street Food. Once inside, it's very chic. The food is fresh and extremely delicious. If you don't mind waiting for a cooked to order, give them a try. ??????

I've been vegan for 3 years and the vegan YCSF burger was, hands down, the best burger I've ever eaten, vegan or otherwise. The imposter taco was also very good. The fries where tasty and seasoned just right.

While the food was amazing, the staff made the overall experience even better. They where so nice and friendly but also professional. I'm so glad we tried this place! I have a feeling I'm going to be comparing every other burger I eat in the future to the vegan YCSF burger, wishing it was the YCSF burger.

(EDIT FOR UPDATE: Full transparency - a few hours after eating my husband and I both got stomach aches. He got bad gas and I got indigestion, gas, and heartburn. It was the only thing we ate or drank (except water) in a 16 hour period so we know it has to be from the food we ate there. However, please know that it's very likely that it's just because neither my husband nor I are used to eating fried foods. But since it's now 7 hours later and I still have heartburn and gas and it's keeping me awake, I felt obligated to update my review. I do think that it's likely just because my body isn't used to fried and oily foods, but still super surprised that I'm being effected so much even hours later. I do wish this buisness great success, but I just needed to be 100% honest with our experience.)

Today was my third time eating here, first inside the actual establishment. Gonna keep this short as possible but this
Place is the bomb. The vibe, the food and everything in between is just magic. Big props to the chef and his and her magnificent culinary skills. I will say, I ordered to much food at once being the tacos are loaded but with everything I ordered vegan, I'll have a good lunch for two days to come with not a scrap wasted.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and parking are accessible now depending on traffic parking could be an issue but I wouldn't let it detour you. The table closest to the bathrooms is one I choose for a Manuel push chair and was able to scoot in fully. Go enjoy this place and don't let the negatives of your disability stop you from the experience. Just make sure you leave your negativity at home.

They have LOTS of options which is super nice. I got the vegan Diablo taco and half size animal fries . My partner got the imposter taco salad. He absolutely loved his salad especially because the “fish” was made of mushrooms vs imitation meat. My taco was so tasty! Great balance of flavors. Not spicy at all though ( unless you think Tajín level is spicy) but it was so tasty I didn’t care and really enjoyed it. The fries I have mixed feelings about. The fries themselves felt heavy/greasy but the bigger issue was the “animal style” . To be fair when you label it animal style I thought like In-N-Out dupe and it was definitely NOT that. I’m not holding that against them in the rating b/ maybe that’s just me/my problem but heads up. That being said the red opinions and cheese sauce felt oily so along with the heavy fries it was just a lot. Would go back but I think I would just get two tacos instead. I do think the pricing is high. Almost $20 for a processed burger and standard fries? $7 on their menu but over $8 on takeout for a single taco? And I know I know vegan ingredients can be more expensive but we have our regular place in Austin with faux vegan products that are cheaper.
