This is a great hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. My family has been eating here for over 30 years (they used to be down the street on Lamar).The owner is a great dude and they make good food. All of the terrible reviews are perplexing to me, because the food honestly is about as good as it gets for local American Chinese food.If you're on the fence about eating here, give it a go. It was just fine. The hot and sour soup was delicious, but the beef and broccoli was bland and the sesame chicken was stringy. With all the other options in the area, I wouldn't come back.
A lot of bang for your buck. Deserves a higher rating on Google, at least from my experience there. For dine-in customers: they aren't trying to impress you with ambiance or win some kind of award. The table and seating was very clean, the walls could use a good scrubbing. Probably some people take issue with wall cleanliness, but I don't.
