Neza's is clean, the staff friendly, and the food is excellent, coupled with an impressive presentation. I had the huarache, with the wife going with a combo of enchiladas and a tamale. Both were a work of art and mouth watering. The flavors of the food here are refreshingly unique and delicious. We shared a Neapolitan flan and a slice of tres leches cake, both over the moon great, reasonably priced, and generously portioned. This is a family owned restaurant and they put their heart and soul into providing good food at a reasonable price.

So many Mexican restaurants are just bland, serving food little better than we make in our own kitchens when in a hurry. The same is true here. Nothing about the menu or faire is unique, just more of the same that we find in Mexican restaurants everywhere in America.Can’t small places like this create some truly unique dishes that define who and what they are? Can’t they offer at least two or three creations that keep diners coming back, waking in the middle of the night dreaming about what they’ve eaten before?The food isn’t bad, it just isn’t special.

They had New Mexico flat enchiladas Christmas style(green and red sauce) and a fried egg on top. It had very authentic NM flavor. That is almost impossible to find in Texas!
