I’ve been here many times and usually enjoy it, but this visit was not the best. The service was excellent and our waiter was very kind and attentive, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Most of the dishes were cold and tasted like they had been sitting for a while. I hope this was just an off day, because the service deserves better food to match.

First time here. Got the to go/by the pound. I might come back and try the buffet sometime, but I got about a pound of food, ate it in under 10 minutes and was still hungry. The food wasn't bad, but I am disappointed to be so hungry after a pound of food. It's worth a try, and definitely better than the buffet on William Cannon and 35. Seems clean and I'm not worried about a stomach ache.

Inexpensive lunch option with great looking buffet that tastes bad. Nothing like the flavors you’ll get in Yunnan or even at a good American Chinese buffet unfortunately. Sushi is mostly filling to keep it cheap, Tsao wasn’t great, and all together this was disappointing

The food looked presentable but lacked flavor. I didn’t try the seafood options so I have no opinion on that. I tried their fried rice and variety of chicken. Tried two of the sushi rolls but wasn’t tasty. The dessert section is limited as they mostly had cake but it tasted ok.
Dietary restrictions: They had several salad like items that tasted good. Cucumbers in some red sauce, bean sprouts and sliced radish.

My family and I moved in Austin. I try many places, but buffet palace is my favorite restaurant. Food is very delicious.I like seafood soup ,Vietnamese roll, BBQ beef and sushi. Service always nice and friendly. I will come back.
