Amy’s Ice Creams South Congress… Ice creams are delicious, but it’s a shame that the staff working here is so inefficient. I have been here three times, and the line has always been long. That’s not a problem since the ice cream is good and in high demand. The real issue is that simple orders take way too long—either the staff is slow, or they are overworked and not allowed to bring in more people to provide better service. If you’re willing to wait in line for more than 45 minutes for a single scoop of ice cream, this is the place for you.

Amy's is in a great location right on busy South Congress. The ice cream's are straight forward, tasty and it is a great experience on a nice day. Lines can get long and there usually are only two people taking and making the orders every time I've gone, so, I'd recommend going when you aren't in a rush

After walking around in the Austin heat and seeing the lineup our group figured we would stop and try Amy’s ice cream. There wasn’t an overwhelming amount of ice cream choices which I appreciated, however, if your into mix ins you’ll enjoy the variety. I ordered the best selling Mexican vanilla flavour and I must say totally worth the hype. The ice cream was thick in the best way with explosive flavour.
