I came here based on a high volume of recommendations/praise. Being Korean, I take my Korean food seriously. That being said, the food is solid. The overall experience is comparable to other places like Chodang Tofu House with a bit more modern decor. The Cold Arrowroot Noodle, Galbi, and Tofu Soup were all good, but not outstanding. The Arrowroot Noodle's broth was slightly lacking in flavor & depth, but still good for Austin standards. The Galbi is about what you can expect, decently good. The Tofu Soup was solid, but wished it had more protein, but the spice levels were on point.
Service was nothing out of the ordinary, not bad not outstanding. The atmosphere was nice enough & brightly lit, but perhaps a bit too open feeling due to the giant open floor plan not broken up in any way.
Value-wise, I personally would not order the Arrowroot Cold Noodle + Galbi combo, but could see myself ordering the Tofu Soup.
Overall, the hype is a little out of hand, but the food is fairly good. Try it out, but I will stick to going to Chodang Tofu House which is physically closer to me.

Great Korean food! Located near the new upcoming Hmart location on Burnet. Service is quick. Highly recommend for students, nearby office staff, visitors, and the locals.

The best Korean spot in Austin, hands down! This is coming from a Korean raised in K-town outside of DC. You know it’s authentic when you have ol’ Korean ladies running the kitchen. My go-to for Korean or I’m just in the mood for soon-tofu soup!

An Nyeong is my go-to spot for authentic Korean cuisine in Austin. I get excited every time I sit down and see the banchan (side dishes) start filling the table — especially their kimchi, which has the perfect balance of spice and fermentation.
There are so many great dishes here that my wife and I often have a hard time deciding what to order! You can’t go wrong with any of the tofu soups — they’re comforting, flavorful, and even better when you pour them over the purple rice to enjoy like a warm, hearty porridge.
The galbi (short ribs) are slightly sweet and grilled to perfection, while the galbi tang is an equally delicious choice if you’re craving something meatier and more robust in flavor.
All in all, I never regret coming here. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the service and atmosphere always make for a satisfying dining experience.

Came twice, mostly tried everything. The food is always good especially the tofu soup.
For service, it’s not bad service because I didn’t even receive any service. They only help you order food, bring you the water and food.
Other than that, nothing, no refill, no one will check your table if you run out with anything(even for check out).
I don’t think it’s an issue with any specific server, because seems all server in the restaurant doing this in the same way.
If you just want good Korean food and don’t mind about the service, it’s the place to go.

Best Korean food in Austin. Food is so fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection. Their seafood pancakes are honestly the best I’ve ever had and the sauce that comes with it is so delicious. Super fast service too!

Let me preface by saying there are two good things about this place: the food and the manager.
We came here twice. First time the hostess was nowhere to be seen for 10 minutes before we finally got to put our name down. Once we were sat, we didn’t have any water for 10 minutes. The waiter showed up to our table two times total during our meal: when she took our order and when she came to give us the check. It’s impossible to flag and find the waiting staff, it’s like they just disappear into thin air.
My wife and I decided to give this place a second chance today. This time we got sat by the manager quickly. Then it took 10 minutes for our waiter to show up (a different one than first time) to take our order. Then my food came first while my wife’s never showed up. Half an hour after placed our order, I had to get up to flag the manager (because again our waiter never came to us after taking our order) to tell him that our food never came. At which point he went to check and got us our food in 5 minutes and claimed that “there was a mix up”. We think that they gave our food to the wrong table 🤷♂️. The manager did end up comping the dish that was late
Anyway, probably not worth coming back after two experiences of shitty service. Diners beware

So the food is always delicious and i wanna preface with that.
I usually have a good experience but on 08/26 I had a pretty bad experience with one of the servers there. She was really aggressive and my husband and I felt very uncomfortable eating our lunch there.

Absolutely the most delicious & authentic & clean Korean restaurant in town. We have been more than 10 times so far since its opening, the quality of food and service is always consistent and actually becoming even better and better. Finally Austin has something that represents real Korean food.

Overall a great experience. We were recommended to try this place by some friends and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and I loved the many vegetarian soup options that came with yummy sides. I would have preferred an explanation of the sides - it was left at the table by a server and when I had asked a question about one of the side items, I got a very brief explanation and then he ran off. We had also asked for a bowl because I wanted to share the soup with my husband but that bowl never came.

It’s the best Korean restaurant we’ve ever had in the US! We ordered crab tofu soup and beef rice. The tofu soup is full of tofu and is very savory. As for the beef rice, there can be more meat, but lots of vegetable, which is great. The bets thing we had is seafood pancake, vey crispy! Will be back and try BBQ next time!

Had their bbq pork bibimbap. Was delicious and a lot of food for $18 considering it also comes with all the banchan. Stone bowl was proper sizzling so great crispy rice on the bottom to scrape up at the end. Banchan were all great, too. Definitely going back to try more of the menu. Bonus points for serving ice cold Terra beer.
