Would give this place ten stars if we could. We rarely go out to eat for a multitude of reasons, but when we do, we almost always choose ATX. We've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. We've introduced so many people to this place as well, and everyone has loved it! Their drinks are fantastic, and we always get top notch service. The people watching is a bonus, too. We even came here for our post-courthouse-wedding and just came back for our one-year anniversary. As long as we live near Austin, we will come here!

If you want to ruin your birthday, I highly recommend this place!
First, our dishes were served undercooked without anyone even asking for our preferred doneness. Then they came back overcooked, with literally burnt vegetables on the side! And one of the dishes was returned in a smaller portion.
When I told the manager that it was my birthday dinner and how upsetting it was to face such a situation, she just said “OK” and NO apology offered. I later contacted them hoping to hear at least “sorry for your ruined dinner on your special day with your family,” but they haven’t responded at all. Instead of making things right, they simply ignore customers.

Great atmosphere and even better food! We had the Carne Asada, Brussels Sprouts and Sopes topped off with Cabernet!

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale restaurant experience in Austin!

We’re frequent diners and have worked our way through nearly the entire menu and are consistently impressed. The caesar salad and carne asada are personal favorites, but truly every dish we’ve tried has held its own. Great cocktails, great service, and the ambiance strikes the perfect balance of lively and refined. Overall a standout choice for elevated modern Mexican cuisine!

Andreas at ATX Cocina made our dinner unforgettable. He curated a special mole tasting just for us—each one unique and delicious—and guided us to an outstanding wine pairing. His knowledge, warmth, and attention to detail made the experience truly exceptional. Ask for Andreas!

I visited this restaurant with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. We ordered steaks, which were served significantly undercooked. At no point during the ordering process were we asked about our preferred doneness.
When we brought this to the attention of our server, she assured us the steaks would be corrected. However, instead of being freshly remade, they were simply reheated and returned in noticeably smaller portions. To make matters worse, the accompanying vegetables were burnt on one side. As a result.
What was especially disheartening was the lack of response from the management. Despite mentioning that it was her birthday and that we were celebrating as a family, there was no apology or effort to address the situation.
Sadly, this experience completely spoiled what should have been a joyful evening. Based on the quality of food and service we received, I cannot recommend this restaurant and do not plan to return.

Trust fund modern Mexican dining. Not your abuelitas frijoles. Pass

Booked a reservation during happy hour. We were sat and asked for the HH menu. We were told we couldn't get it as the HH menu only applied to patio or bar tables (not specified anywhere on their website/menu). We were then moved to a bar table by the kitchen so we could order HH items. It was loud, smokey, and had workers doing paperwork right next to us on our table. Mind you this bar table was right across from where we're were originally sat and no one ever filled out original table while we were dining in. Food was great as always. Our waitress was friendly. But overall had an unpleasant experience.

ATX Cocina was a true highlight. The restaurant's atmosphere combines modern design with a warm, inviting feel. I was blown away by the food—each dish was flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, making for a perfect dining experience for a work trip. I'll be back on my next trip.
