I would've got some food. Came here to work on my computer but the internet is so weak I can't even connect. Won't be back...

Great place to unwind! Amazing dishes, lovely decor, and outstanding hospitality.
Cold and rude service from front staff, food is cold and overpriced.

I've had a bad taste in my mouth from better half from a previous experience with less than friendly service. As a group wanted to return, I was happy to try again since the food and drink and overall aesthetic is spot on. Sadly, the service and general mood of the staff really ruins the experience for me. Maybe if you hate your job, fake it a bit, instead of letting your sour face upset someone else's day? It's a pity because they have so much else going well for them.

We shared some cheesecake and tried two of their cocktails. Everything was good! Something was missing and I still don’t know precisely what it was but I’d go back to try more off their menu.

It’s unfortunate that this place has discriminatory practices regarding use of laptops at tables. How could someone with a disability, wheelchair, or chronic back pain have equitable access to your establishment if they’re not able to use a laptop at your tables and they can only use a laptop at hightop seating with barstools or picnic tables outside. I definitely think you should reconsider your “it’s just our policy” practices; it’s very outdated and discriminatory.

Cute inside, but the people who work here suck!
After three try’s we’re done….just go next to The Hold Out, it’s much better all round.

We didn't get coffee.
We got food. It was bad. Really bad.
That's not queso. That's chunky cheese sauce for pasta maybe.
The chicken burgers was inedible. Super thin, unseasoned meat with bitter charred bits. Buns were huge and tough - solid as a rock.
There was a line out the door.
Is there like a secret to this place. Like get drinks only?

Really liked the food here, but the service was bad.. we had their breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado.. the crispy hashbrown was a hit to us.. I prefer over easy eggs, but my bf doesn't.. wish they had asked him how he wanted his eggs cooked (just like everywhere else u go).. so that was disappointing for him.. (hot) chai tea latte was just ok.. burnt cheesecake was delicious! A plus was customizing my bf's espresso martini with Don Julio (vs vodka)..
Cashiers and servers alike can be more helpful and friendly.. seemed like they didn't want to be there.. bill was almost $100.. Will not be returning..

I hate to write a bad review for a restaurant I have really enjoyed in the past and where several friends have worked, but I am really disappointed after my recent experience with Better Half. I went there Sunday afternoon for lunch with a dear friend. We both ordered the “Big Salad” (I believe that is what it is called) chocolate chip cookies, and the food tasted great. However, we both had severe food poisoning about 12 hours later. For about 36 hours we were vomiting (from both ends), having cold/hot flashes, had a fever, abdominal cramps, body aches, and couldn’t keep anything down. It was the worst food poisoning I have ever experienced. I left a kind and understanding message and email with Better Half, and hoped to hear back from them. It has been two days since I sent the email and left a voicemail and nobody has called or emailed back. It is disappointing, to say in the least. I really hope they double check their kitchen ingredients and that other people don’t wind up experiencing the same thing we did. Sucks to feel like they didn’t care enough to respond :(

This place is the definition of gentrification and overpricing. Eight dollars for a small cup of coffee and a 50 minute wait for a to-go sandwich on a Sunday afternoon. You’re definitely making enough money to do better!

Took about an hour to get our food, burger came out cold (the burger is not good highly recommend not ordering this), and fries came out 20 minutes after we finished our burgers. I get things can get busy, especially on a Saturday, but this is my second time not having a great experience here. The staff can be indifferent too (not all of them). The vibes are chill, if you’re not hungry and willing to wait an hour+ for food.

Have always loved this place, but ever since they expanded their seating they consistently struggle with service. I understood it the first few times after expanding, but it's now been a couple years of hearing an apathetic/defensive "food is taking 45 mins" when ordering. Last visit on the same order, my friend's food showed up about 30 mins before mine, and both were very cold when they arrived. Disappointed because it was so great for a while but probably won't go back:(
