We have eaten here several times and do enjoy the food but this time was not as enjoyable.
Being upfront: i do not mind if wmplyees use their phones when a place is slow and everything else is done.
Rhat being siad. It was slow and thw employees were so engrossed in whatever was on their phone that it impacted the level of customer service given. They were also less than courteous from the beginning and acted like they would rather be anywhere else. We felt like we were an imposition.
Also, we asked for lean meat. The Pic will show what we got. I questioned the cut and was told that it is lean. I have never had this issue before here or anywhere.
We will return in future wuth the hope that this was a random bad day but if it becomes their norm then they end up on our list of places we dont spend money at.
Food was really good, nice size portions for your money had a great time will definitely return for some great Texas BBQ

We were excited to try our third Black's BBQ location, this one in Austin. 2 sandwiches, 1 rib, 2 sides (1 single and 1 pint), and 3 iced teas cost $115. Good food, but hard to choke down that price.

No better place than a BBQ restaurant to get a sense of typical Texan food. This BBQ restaurant seems famous and you understand why when you taste the meat. I already tried an other place and could not make a difference on meat but side dishes were better at the other place in my view. The good part is that we did not need to queue an hour as in the other place. Food quality: 5* Food taste: 5* for the BBQ, 3* for side dishes Ambiance: 5* Service: 4* Price/quality: 4*

Excellent bbq tonight!! First time in Austin. Had to try one of the staples of bbq in town. Did not disappoint. Had brisket, pulled pork, turkey, jalapeño sausage, mac&cheese, sweet potatoes, and green beans. All were delicious!

Order was 1 pulled pork sandwich, 1 lean brisket sandwich 1/3 lean brisket, 1 ring of original sausage and 1 order each of Mac and cheese, potato salad and beans. Brisket was out in the cutting board so with a slow crowd it had been there and was barely warm. Mac and cheese needed some salt. Everything else was ok.
