We haver eaten here several times~ always the same choices. Last night the cod was overcooked and the lobster/fittes, not repeatable. It was dry , overcooked and the claw, impossible to crack. The frittes, not crisp either. OVERALL, very disappointed since we were introducing old friends to the Bureau.

Food was good, service was good, elevated dining in a cute little French grocery. Outdoor seating is very inviting in appearance. We sat inside but will request outdoor for our next visit.

Fantastic food and amazing service. We did have a mishap with a burger (both the patty and the bun were way overdone the first time around), but it was taken care of without a problem and came out perfect on the second try. A great addition to the Austin food scene and we will certainly be back!

Great and easy atmosphere with excellent French bistro menu. Our family loved it. We will be back for more.

The French dip sandwich was not good. The meat was overcooked as well as sparse in ratio to the bread, which in itself was average. The dip was salty and not at all like any French dip I've ever had (unfortunately, not in a good way). The salad and empanadas were good, but not enough to make me want to come back.

Cute place. We tried the croquettes, the tartar, and the escargot to start. All were yummy. The duck cassoulet was rich - the full link of sausage was a little odd - but it was a homey tasty dish. The fish was a bit disappointing - just a small chunk with very little sauce or seasoning. Overall, we enjoyed the meal. And we loved the ability to share wine from home with corkage.

Great outdoor space. Mussels were good...fries were meh. Steak was overcooked; it was burnt on the exterior, overall disappointing. Staff stated there was a new cook...a $55 entree should be executed correctly. Waiter was really nice...and provided a free dessert to compensate for the overdone steak. Not sure if we will be back.

Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food. Great, highly attentive service without hovering or being too fussy/cheesy. Love to see how they've transformed the post office into such inviting spaces. Could use some flowers and candles on the tables - felt a wee bit spare at this price point. But the food was truly great.

This is a must try! The food snd atmosphere were amazing ! Steak and frites were the best we've had in Austin and the burger is even better than Clarks or Jeffrey's. Sit outside, have a mimosa and enjoy this cute place!

Excellent flavor. Kitchen timing is off and we read this in the reviews so accordingly ate our food as it was served rather than waiting for all of the entrees to arrive. For some of us our food was hot and delicious. For others, while the flavor was there, several dishes cooled even before they arrived. Three orders of frites were not hot. We were very happy with the wine and cocktails. Our server, Finneus, was excellent! He was well mannered, attentive, and gave thoughtful recommendations. We enjoyed the experience overall and will return.

The place is nice but a bit loud especially with the guy screaming orders back to the kitchen. The food was cold and had very little taste. Our waitress was nice but we had to ask for everything (sweetener, salt, plates). The wooden chairs were just dreadful, I'd rather have sat on concrete. Overall, it was a nice visit but we won't be returning.

Loved the setting, and several dishes were a hit! But the staff should be better educated on the wine list. Not our server's issue, but staff should be able to taste wine and food so they can guide us.

We dined at bureau for the first time last night and our server Danielle was so sweet! We got the steak and frites which was delicious and the creme brulee! The patio is so quaint and makes you feel the ‘neighborhood go to spot' vibes. Would highly recommend!

Loved the patio. The food was good - we had a salad, ratatouille, chicken and escargot. Some was good, some was underwhelming. Our server was overwhelmed and so we had to steal silverware from another table. I would try it again- maybe they just were short staffed that night.
