Wonderful store and cafe! Great service! The food is always exceptional!!
My one qualm that I had recently, is that I went with my wife and we were working online while enjoying two yummy beverages from Tiny Grocer when one of the employees came and told us they were closing (7:55 pm ). Bureau de Poste at Tiny Grocer offers a charming atmosphere with a spacious, shady patio, perfect for enjoying a meal in one of Austin's lovely neighborhoods. The food is well-prepared with generous portions, including popular dishes like the duck leg cassoulet and venison sausage cassoulet, as well as flavorful ratatouille. The menu features a variety of options, and guests have praised the excellent wine list and the delicious chocolate mousse. Service is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, with good wine recommendations. The venue is great for special occasions and is complemented by a nearby indie bookstore serving drinks. While outdoor seating might sometimes have flies, the overall experience remains enjoyable. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed date night or family dinner, especially with dishes like the duck leg and ratatouille. The dessert options, such as the Creme Brûlée and Toffee dark chocolate mousse, are highly praised. Overall, Bureau de Poste is a neighborhood gem worth visiting, especially to support Chef Jo Chan's business.
