Great food as always, but the waitress rushed our dinner check. We ran into her in the bookstore next, so we assumed it was because it was the end of her shift. We weren't ready to leave, 3 women catching up who hadn't seen each other in person for nearly 2 years. We left out of obligation and because the unsolicited check was given to us. We didn't even get a chance to discuss dessert.
Lovely neighborhood atmosphere does not make up for largely mediocre food quality and kind, but ineffective service. Mains arrived annoyingly early, in the middle of appetizers. One main did not show up at all, so one of our party waited an additional 15 minutes or more. Chicken Paillard was juicy, but the panko breading was overcooked and somewhat burned. Steak was overcooked and not especially flavorful. Desert was a bright spot, but hardly made up for the shortfalls. Perhaps...
The food was excellent our server did a tremendous job making sure we were taken care of without being obtrusive Gets a little loud inside , had to have a conversation Will be back but will dine outside
