First time here, and my initial impressions were—honestly, not great. The area is a bit of a dump, and the server wasn’t particularly engaging. The music was too loud, making it hard to hear when ordering. We got the Bussin' Combo at X-Hot spice level, a mac and cheese for the kiddo, and a drink. There are a few benches to sit at, so we decided to eat there. They text you when the food is ready, which was convenient. While waiting, I noticed it's really popular for pick-up orders—it stayed busy the entire time we were there.
The food took a while, but I don't mind waiting for something freshly prepared. When it finally came, we split everything among the three of us. The mac and cheese initially had spicy seasoning, which wasn’t too spicy for the kiddo. We asked them to renove the seasoning and they kindly replaced it with one without it, which we really appreciated. The mac and cheese was delicious, and the kiddo loved it.
As for the chicken—it was excellent! Fresh halal chicken that was tender and juicy, yet with a crispy outer batter. The seasoning was properly spicy, just how I like it. Honestly, X-Hot was intense, so I wouldn’t go higher next time, but I also wouldn’t go lower either! It definitely cleared out my sinuses with all the tears and water streaming from my eyes and nose.
Despite the initial poor impressions, we really enjoyed our meal and left satisfied. I’d definitely come back, but since they’ve opened a north location closer to us, we’ll be supporting them there instead!

i wrote this review in earl 2024 and now in october 2024 the place has really gone downhill. The portion sizes are really bad now and the taste is just a bit off. i’ll miss this place and won’t be coming back here as often as i used to
We ordered for the first time here and the food is decent holds the flavor during frying plus looks like they sprinkle some seasoning after on top so you can get some more flavor. My only complaint about this place is the wait time besides that the only person there isn’t friendly at all to customers. My order time and date was October 3rd around 8:30pm no many people was waiting but maybe because there was only one person working there.

I went and ordered food I ordered no coleslaw and they gave it to me and when I asked for it to be re made the guy at the window scraped it off like the damn idiot he is also I seen one of the guys who cook scratch his nasty part and then serve the food right after with no gloves !! This place is not worth the hype and it is over priced. It’s disgusting unprofessional and irritating everytime I come to this place it’s always something !!

Finally tried this spot and got the bussin Mac and they put fries in it. The truck menu clearly only states Mac n cheese, 2 tenders and bussin sauce. It would definitely be better if they left the soggy fries out of this. Please edit y'alls menu.
