Authentic carnitas and other Mexican staples. We shared a mixed carnitas platter. Meat was moist, salty, with skin and trompas. Quesabirria tacos and consume were above average- rich and savory. Sides, sauces, and drinks were literally perfect. 5 stars for Mexican Coca-Cola. HIGHLY recommended for families, couples... basically EVERYONE.
This place is located in a kind of a ghetto area of Austin. It does have decent parking size. The place looks clean inside. I tried to Caldo De Res, who’d was good. I wanted to order a second michelada and it took about 15 minutes for the server to come check on me, even when she saw my cup empty several times. Recently moved to Austin and in need of some good carnitas. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. I was very happy with the food but what stood out to me and really made an impression was the aguas frescas we had limonada con pepino (lime and cucumber) and a limonada con pepino y piña (lime, cucumber and pineapple) they are made fresh and per request!
