Best noodles I've had in Austin. So tasty and a generous portion. This place is all about the food, no frills. I've tried about half the menu at this point and my favorites are the spicy lamb noodle and the sesame pockets, but there isn't a bad choice in the place. This place is my current obsession, I make the drive down from Round Rock weekly.
Mr Chen is a legit noodle master from Lanzhou, Gansu which is Mecca for Chinese noodles. These noodles are hand pulled and shaved and so so good.
Hole in the wall small restaurant with a tasty beef noodle soup. This is a no frills restaurant. They have pics of the food on the wall with the menu, so you can see what you are ordering. I've only been to a handful of places in Austin that serves beef noodle soup, and I will definitely be back to this one. The broth was good, the meat was tender, and the handmade noodles were perfect.
This is among the best food I've had in Austin. When I think of noodles, I think of this place. Everything I've had is delicious. There are heavier and lighter choices, and you'll always either have leftovers or be very full. Besides the noodles, I highly recommend the sesame pockets. They are very, very good and great to share with someone.
Good noodle!
Delicious and an incredible value on top of it all. An order of the lamb noodles and pan-fried dumplings will last you two meals.
SO GOOD!! Their chicken stir fry noodle dish with chili oil is to die for. Chens Noodles is cutest hole in the wall restaurant with a friendly staff. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place!
I heard this place was good from TikTok and surprisingly it was. I had the Spicy lamb noodles with the pan fried scallion pancakes it was a mach made in heaven. If anyone goes there get those two they mach perfectly.
Not much seatings. It was kinda toasty but there was no AC. But the food is authentic and cheap. Definitely will go back to try more food. I tried black bean noodle(less sweeter than korean black bean noodle), lamb skewer and stirred fried noodle
Eating their noodles was a religious experience.

Love this place. Yes atmosphere I's forgivable. The food and homemade noodles is excellent.
This is a hidden gem, location 183 and McNeil. It is the best I've had since I moved to Austin. The noodles are freshly made. Everything is so fresh. You can taste the difference. I tell everyone about this place. It has blown away so many other restaurants, and yet, the simplicity is divine.
I just can't with roaches even if it is dead I just can't.
Third time here still awesome!!
The best noodles I have had, rivals what I ate in Shanghai! The prices are also extremely reasonable! The dishes are all family style, don’t be afraid to share!
