ohhhhh my - I think this is my new favorite sushi spot in Austin. the sushi is incredibly fresh, flavorful, the miso soup is š¤¤ and the rice is perfectly seasoned. it's not the cheapest option, but definitely one of the highest quality and most delicious š£š±

Arrived early and was first in line. āļø It was 1000% worth the wait. The sushi box and chirashi don were very fresh, each piece full of flavor. We didnāt have enough room for all the sandos we bought, but we tried the truffle katsu sando and it was amazzzing. Definitely coming back!

The sushi is always fresh, generously cut, and reasonably priced šš». They also offer Japanese sandos (sandwiches) for those who prefer something other than sushi.
The only downside is the waitāyouāll likely need to line up even on weekdays. We usually arrive about 15 minutes before opening since the shop is quite small, with just one narrow line for pickup and a single checkout. That said, once youāre inside, the line moves fairly quickly.
All in all, we always enjoy the food here and love coming backāespecially when we plan ahead and prepare for the wait!

The fruit sando was absolutely amazing - so fluffy, light, and not too sweet, with just the right hint of fruit acidity. We also got the 10-piece Itamae sushi box and every piece was super fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the quality in every bite, and the presentation was beautiful. I seriously hope they open a location in Houston because now Iām scared Iāll be driving all the way back to Austin just for this!

Long wait because of its popularity but if you get anything its worth the wait. Love their katsu anything sandos. From pork to various types of seafood its all great. Classics like fruit sandos and egg sandos are a must. Their sushi dishes are sooooo filling. Pricey but worth ever penny in freshness and taste. Friendly staff. Seating available indoors and out but it does get full fast. There is a guy at the door managing how many people go in at any time.
First time trying Choo Sando delivered to my job by Chef Choo himself! The food was absolutely amazing, my mind was blown! The owner and chef is kind, generous, and just puts a smile on your face anytime you interact with him! I canāt wait to visit the location in person!

The sushi is amongst the best and freshest Iāve had in Austin. The chirashi bowl and 10 piece sushi box are my personal favorites. The sandos are a delight as well ā perfectly soft and fluffy bread. The strawberry and mango is my favorite among the sandos. Sushi is a luxury meal given the cost, but the variety and quality of ingredients make it well worth it here. This is my favorite place to come to as a special reward treat š as others have said, items do tend to sell out, so if you arenāt preordering, Iād recommend arriving around opening time or at least before 11:30am.

BEST sushi Iāve had in Austin so far. Quality AND quantity of fish, fish and rice ratio, reasonable pricing, variety of bowls/plates - it is everything you look for in good sushi/sandos. I am most definitely coming back. Iāve tried many many Japanese places and Choo Sando left me MELTING in my chair. considering the amount of fish in the bowls/sandos the price is VERY reasonable. My salmon uni bowl was $46 but it came with miso, a LOT of uni and salmon belly and was ALSO good quality. Even the presentation is just perfect. The service too. Iām very HAPPY. Get here EARLY because they will sell out.
