Ignore the negative reviews. I’ve dined in this cute gem once and ordered takeout and the food is amazing! The mole enchiladas are my go to. The staff is so nice.

Best cheese enchiladas ever! I also love their queso however I did not have any this visit. Welcoming establishment with very good customer service. **Update 11-29-2025** These are still my all time favorite enchiladas. I get the dos enchiladas, cheese with red sauce. I believe they use their red salsa as the sauce. Its flavorful and a bit spicy. They use a soft white cheese for the filling. The balance of the ingredients is perfection. The rice (i prefer the white rice that has a dash of diced carrots, corn and peas) and refried beans make the perfect meal. Curras Grill Oltorf is as consistent as they come. I'll definitely return when on this side of town.

The food needs a lot of work. I was very surprised of the chicken breast that my meal came with & saw a chicken leg & thigh, with lots of bone. The chipotle sauce was so sweet & that was confusing. Definitely not authentic, nor tex mex. I can see by the reviews, who eats here the most. Definitely look elsewhere.

Curra's is an OG Austin staple coveted by Austin natives such as myself. They specialize in interior Mexican cuisine with tons of healthy, hearty options. Juju's breakfast plate is my post-workout go-to, and the Steak Tacos are to die for. Many restaurants actually sell/serve Curra's house-made veggie chorizo because it's just that dang delicious. And do yourself a favor, order a double Avocado Margarita, because 1 is never enough!

We had a great time having lunch. We had a large group of 10 and made a reservation online. When you do that, you cant split the bill and they can only run 4 different cards (you can choose the amount thay goes on the different cards).
The food was great, we got a lot of items. The snapper and shrimp ceviche, queso, tacos, taquitos, carnitas plate and enchiladas. Everything was delicious. I got the tacos al pastor, they were delicious and came with 2 large tacos.
The margaritas were excellent. I had the blackberry and most people on my party got the frozen avocado. My wife got a flight and we were not prepared for the size! It was 4, 8oz glasses for $45. All the flavors were great.

Love our waiter. The owner stopped by our table and asked us if we needed anything and how we liked the food. Love how colorful the place looked

Curra’s never disappoints! Their authentic mole is rich, complex, and layered with flavor in a way only true Mexican kitchens can achieve. And of course, you can’t visit without trying their iconic aguacate margarita. So refreshing and dangerously smooth and delicious! By to mention, unlike anything else in Austin.
Even on a packed night, the staff went above and beyond, offering me a drink while I waited for a table. Little gestures like that speak volumes about their ability hospitality and keep me coming back. If you want a place where the food is as memorable as the service, Curra’s is it.
