The bento box was great before but now for some reason I just taste jalapeno in everything including the dragon roll I got. Which means all you taste is jalapeno. Fine for a state like oregon that has no taste buds but in austin I expect a bit more. I hope they go back to the old way of making it soon. Will check back in a couple months and maybe change my review.

Stop what you’re doing and go. Freshest sushi I’ve ever had in Austin, yes .. including the expensive places. We got the Hawaiian roll, Sakura roll, and The Ruth is on Fire roll and legit not a single miss in the bunch. Fish was fresh and flavorful WITHOUT ANY hint of that old sea taste - avocado was perfection - and the real star of this show was some sort of magic sauce they poured on top of two of the rolls. When I say it knocked our socks off - believe me!

Some of the best sushi in Austin. We ordered gyozas, garlic edamame, the Barton springs , and the Hawaiian roll. You can tell the food was cooked from scratch and very fresh. We will definitely be back.
Dawa Sushi is an absolute gem! The sushi was so fresh and delicious – honestly better than some of the sit-down sushi restaurants I’ve been to. The service was warm and friendly, and the whole setup is such a cute, relaxing spot to hang out and enjoy amazing food. My boyfriend and I had the best time here and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you want quality sushi in a chill atmosphere!

We have been going to Dawa for over a year now and absolutely love it! The owners are super kind and make some of the best Korean and Japanese food in town. My go-to is the Erin’s bento box with spicy korean chicken and it hits every time. Cannot recommend Dawa enough!!
