We have been going to Dawa for over a year now and absolutely love it! The owners are super kind and make some of the best Korean and Japanese food in town. My go-to is the Erin’s bento box with spicy korean chicken and it hits every time. Cannot recommend Dawa enough!!

New favorite sushi spot. I’ve been coming for about 6 months semi regularly now and I am obsessed! They never miss. Always fresh, delicious, and made with love :)

Always super fresh and delicious. This time it was pouring raining/hailing and we ran to sit in the car. The staff then brought the meal to our car which was above and beyond and so kind. A great staple for easy sushi and always hits the spot!

This is a good truck pod, so giving 5/5 stars on atmosphere because it’s what you would expect! The rolls are big! 8 pieces each and wonderful flavor. I ordered the spicy salmon and rainbow rolls. They are prepared fresh and the flavors were fabulous!
Best sushi ever! Such nice folks too
This sushi is better than most brick and mortars Ive been to in Austin. Everything is fresh and tasteful.

Dawa Sushi is a food truck located in a food truck park, with plenty of picnic tables scattered around for dining. It seems to be run by an older Korean couple, which adds a charming, homey touch.
We stopped by on a Friday for lunch and took advantage of their happy hour (available before 3 PM). We ordered the Dawa Roll Combo for $16.50, which includes two classic rolls and your choice of a half specialty roll (Barton Springs, Zilker Park, Spicy Onion Crunchy, or Phoenix). We went with the Crunch Roll (avocado, cucumber, crab meat, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and crunchy flakes), Eel Roll (baked eel, avocado, cucumber, eel sauce, and sesame seeds), and the Zilker Park Roll (crab meat and avocado, topped with more avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo, and sesame seeds).
While all the rolls were good and tasted fresh, they leaned on the simpler side and had fairly similar flavor profiles. The Zilker Park Roll was my favorite of the three.
The food took about 10–15 minutes to come out, and everything tasted fresh and light. After eating, we brought our plate back up to the counter. We plan on coming back to try some of their other rolls, especially the ones with fish.
SO DELICIOUS! I can't even put into words. Flavors are amazing! I don't think you can pick a bad roll! We ordered the cowboy, alligator, Ruth is on fire, and Hawaiian.

It was wonderful. It is a food truck in a little food truck park but overall these guys are doing amazing things with what they have!
The salmon was buttery, fresh, and melted in my mouth.
I was about to spend more money, but the lady taking my order told me to turn the menu over and showed me some cheaper deals that had exactly what I was in the mood for!
Then, while I was eating, I looked up and noticed they were both peeking around the corner to make sure I liked it!
Overall, a very wholesome and warm experience with delicious food. 10/10 will return.
Oh, and I had the Sakura roll + happy hour special (4 pieces salmon nigiri + a California roll that’s not like any other California roll I’ve ever had - it was big!)
Spicy tuna tacos are DELICIOUS. I am a repeat customer and will continue to order from this food truck.
This as LITERALLY the best Korean sushi I’ve ever had (equal with dk sushi which you should also check out if you have the chance) my sister was full when we go there and she regretted not ordering a roll cuz damn it was good. I gave her one piece of my sushi and it took everything in her not to eat the who rest of the roll. I was thinking about going two nights in a row but they were closed. Good bless Dawa-mercia.
Spicy Tuna tacos were delicious. We'll be back!
I went there thinking how delicious can sushi sold in a foodtruck be and left saying woooowww. I definitely recommend it, especially the fried ones were very delicious.
