“We chose Ling Kitchen to celebrate a birthday. It was a dining experience that we will not forget. The staff were easy to communicate with and facilitate a food allergy, prior to arrival. Once you arrive, they will let you into a gated parking lot in the back. You will be greeted by the staff and shown to the front of the building where you will be received with champagne and tea. The dining room is one large family table directly in the kitchen.
The hosts will guide you through an exquisite 9 course tasting menu. The first 5 courses had a heavy seafood focus. Of these courses, the highlights were the seafood spread on top of a fried taro and the dumplings which had a delicious chicken filing accompanied by seafood. Moving on to the meat courses. The got better and better. The Peking Duck 2 ways that you turned into a bao slider was very good. The beef was cooked to perfection. It had a slightly sweet sauce, with a Thai basil pesto, and jellied fish and fried potato for texture. The main dishes concluded with our favorite of the night. It was a pork belly recipe that had been passed down through the family. The sauce was savory, salty, and sweet. The dish was accompanied by fried garlic and onions and a delicious black garlic leaf. The gold sheet on top was an added touch of elegance. The 5 small desserts that finished the meal were good, but nothing we would seek out again. This truly is one of the best dining experiences in Austin.“

“I reserved online for my daughter’s birthday and got into town an hour earlier and they still were able to accommodate us. At the table with the menus was a birthday card with a really nice and meaningful note on the inside. Staff, drinks, and food were amazing! Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“This place is my new obsession. Their pot pork is the closest thing I can get to the tangsuyuk(Korean style sweet and sour pork) my grandma used to make. My favorite dumplings are the pork and pickled cabbage and the lamb and cilantro. Some other sleeper hits are the braised beef noodle soup and the secret sauce healthy fungus. The flavor of the broth is beautifully aromatic and the braised shank is so tender. The noodles taste fresh and chewy. The secret sauce healthy fungus is wood ear mushrooms tossed in a really tasty seasoned soy sauce and it has that addictive crunchy texture I can't get enough of. I can't wait to work my way through tasting everything on their menu!“

“Casual and delicious. I grabbed some pork and cabbage potstickers and a scallion pancake, and took most of it to-go. I also ordered some frozen soup dumplings to see if they are just as delicious as they were fresh the last time I came. There was more scallions in their version than I have had before, but I am in no way complaining.“

“When in Westlake, and looking for delicious Chinese this would be the spot. From the moment you enter everyone is smiling, music is playing, and it’s definitely upbeat! Service is almost instantly greeted with water, and someone asking what they can get for you. I love this kind of experience. Food is amazing, and the price is good. Love you guys!“

“I've ordered twice from here. Both times were delicious. The first time I ordered the fried rice wasn't very good. However, this time I ordered chow mein instead and it was SO GOOD! I also recommend the garlic bok choy, orange chicken and cheese wonton. This is now my go to for Chinese!“

“Second time here and will be back. The food was great. I believe the buns were hand made - we had the pan fried soup buns. Highly recommend the pork intestines too. The service provided was also great. Attentive and helpful staff. Planning to come back again.“

“I was craving comfort food in the middle of it all—-too many shoppers on Mother’s Day weekend and I had to eat Asian food. I’m so glad I gave in and saw this corner food place right next to Zara. I got two kinds of dumplings and sampler sashimi, and miso soup. Quick service, seemingly less staff, clean enough, yummy food and affordable, How I want it!“
