The place is convenient and has plenty of parking even though it’s very close to downtown. The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is clean and has a great Austin vibe. Overall I give it 4 stars due to the prices and the service.

So good! Visited for the first time for dinner on a Saturday night. Warmly greeted by the hostess & promptly sat for a table for 5. Fabulous pizza & pasta. Highly recommend & can’t wait to be back!

We had an amazing experience with Dovetail! Sam was so kind and customer-centered and made sure that we were taken care of. The pizza was delicious as was the ricotta ranch. Definitely recommend and will be returning the next time we are in the area!

Tried this restaurant today and was very pleased with the experience. It wasn’t busy at all due to ACL and the server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was delicious and at a good price point, and the atmosphere was very cute for a quick lunch.

Dovetail Pizza impresses with its well-rounded menu, especially with the Wedge Salad, Pesto Chicken Macaroni, and Prime Rib Pizza. The Wedge Salad, with its crisp iceberg lettuce, smoky bacon, and tangy blue cheese dressing, offers a refreshing start to the meal. The Pesto Chicken Macaroni combines perfectly cooked pasta with a rich, herbaceous pesto sauce and tender chicken, delivering both comfort and flavor. The Prime Rib Pizza is the star, featuring succulent slices of prime rib and perfectly baked crust. Each dish offers a satisfying blend of flavors, making Dovetail Pizza a must-visit for any food lover.
Service and atmosphere was good. Food was far below par for the price. My chicken parm was burnt on the bottom and the crust was soggy ($19), the $6 side of spaghetti was extremely bland and tasted worse than store bought sauce. The Shrimp Fettuccine ($19) was okay at best. We also got a Caesar Salad and the Buffalo Wings. The Caesar salad ($16) had flavorless, thinly sliced croutons and raw mushrooms. I love Caesar salads and this was just mediocre. The Buffalo Wings ($14) did not taste how you would expect and the ranch (+$1) tasted like sour cream. I did like the pickled carrots that came with the wings. Overall this was a very disappointing experience because the cost of the food did not reflect the quality whatsoever. For such an expensive ticket, we were severely disappointed.

The pizza was okay and it was over priced. They charge a “cake cutting fee of $25” if you want to bring a cake for a birthday. They also brought us out bread without us asking for it and then charged us for it. It was $2.
