This place has some great BBQ. Been in Austin for 6 months and tried all the big names around and Down South holds their own and then some. The beef rib was amazing. My wife typically sticks to brisket but this was a rare time she actually preferred the rib. Not to take anything away from the brisket. It was juicy and moist with an amazing smoke flavor. This reminded of down-home backyard BBQ done on an expert level. The potato salad was unique-different than what we were used but crisp and fresh tasting. Wish I had tried the Mac and greens, but just more reason to go back soon. Highly reccomended.

Great bbq, the beef rib was fall off the bone,brisket was moist, pork ribs excellent. The bbq sauce was finger lickin good. Corn, beans and potato salad are must haves.

If you’re looking for some real southern bbq around the Howard and wells branch area please go here!!! You will not regret it. The brisket is smoked to perfection and literally melts in your mouth. The nachos are probably one of the best nachos I’ve had in my life. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

My husband and I tried the Grandma Joyce’s Texas Trinity and wow, it is AMAZING. The ribs and brisket are seasoned to perfection. The brisket was good, just wish it was a tad bit more moist. The collard greens taste like they were made at home!! Customer service is great too!

Was craving some good bbq but didn’t wanna drive to downtown. Ordered a chopped brisket sandwich with a brisket slice on the side. When I say this food was BUSSIN. Smokey flavor, seasoned perfect. brisket slice was juicy and overall makes you want more. I ate everything in one sitting. Highly recommend if you’re in North Austin!!

Glad i skipped out on going to a sit down restaurant and over paying for not so great BBQ. i got the spare rib plate with a pulled pork sandwich! Ribs were absolutely amazing fall off the bone meat with amazing texture and amazing smell! best ribs i’ve had in years! pulled pork is top tier! You can tell a lot of love and time goes into this great BBQ! Thank you for the welcoming great vibes!

I had family in town, so of course they need to eat Texas BBQ. We ordered the Big Mama sampler and it was a very large portion. The brisket had incredible smoke flavor with an excellent bark on the outside--my wife's favorite part. The turkey and pulled pork were also delicious, but to me the clear winner was the hot link. I've never had a sausage packed with so much flavor. We will definitely be back.

Tried this place for the first time last week and have to agree with the other reviews on the excellence of the food. There was a slight mixup with my call in order to go (I wasn’t worried, got a different side than ordered, and it was phenomenal) and the propertier called me to address it. I was impressed. Definitely will be entering my regular rotation.

Shouldn’t be me to teach a restaurant how to properly run a business. But I will start by saying make enough meals portions per day so that you don’t serve costumers stale Mac n cheese from the day prior. Keep your food fresh. Lastly the Bbq you sent out was hard and stale like it could’ve been 2 days old. Make your brisket daily not twice a week. Do better.
You guys went from good to trash quick. Trying to save money by serving day old and 2 day old cookings is the fastest way to go out of business.
