Awesome bar that’s been a go to spot in Austin for a very long time. We typically choose to sit inside and it cozy. The staff is always friendly and quick. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a good spot to grab drinks with friends and chat.
This was a good bar and pub with indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a classic that’s been around since 1969 and there’s a lot of nostalgia with this place. There’s a food truck outside, which is amazing. Probably one of the better fish and chips I’ve ever had. The cod is fried tempura style so it’s light and crispy. Huge kudos on the way they prepare this! They have an assortment of drinks from beers to cocktails. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any wine, so if you enjoy...
We accidentally stumbled upon the Draught House while searching for a shaded beer garden, and I’m so glad we did! The atmosphere embodied Texas: busy, lively, and full of people enjoying each other’s company. The free water was a lifesaver on a hot day, but their boozy Dole Whip stole the show for me. They were phenomenal, and now I’m determined to recreate one at home. If you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth checking out.
