Enjoyed the evening. Won't hesitate to go back. Good food. Reasonably priced. Our waitperson was incredibly nice, but I'd encourage her to look in on her tables a little more frequently. A couple of times I had to flag down someone else to assist after waiting quite some time. Bar service was also extraordinarily slow. This seems to be a common issue with many Austin restaurants these days. Just a thought...hire more bartenders.
Great ambiance, decor, service, and wide variety of great menu options. Only complaint was the halibut - which should be very light and flaky - was tough like a much cheaper fish, like cod or flounder. Short rib and the apps were excellent though.
Food was absolutely delicious and way above my expectations. The NY Times was not wrong when it called this a 5 star food experience. The service was also top notch, even with a "trainee" in tow. He was (Nate) on top of everything. The bar drinks left me with a sense of disappointment, both in the quality and taste of the offerings, both wine and cocktails. However, I will definitely go back.
