Fun place but when we queued our song it was almost 2 hours until we could sing it. The same people kept getting up so I think a better process would make it fairer.
After driving 12 hours to Austin I went to Ego's to relax and have a good time. The bartender with pink and black hair was very rude to me but treated my friend nicely. I asked her for a gitonic and the bartender ignored me for 1 hour and when I got the bartender attention she basically threw the drink at me like I was an animal. I am a minority and my friend is not. The bartender racially profiled me because the bartender was being rude to me for no reason but was being nice to my friend who's NOT a minority. I will be coming back to Austin but not to Ego's anymore. I don't recommend this bar to anyone. If you live or ever visit Austin, please avoid this bar!
I love going to this place! It's for everyone for all ages. So much fun, listening to people karaoke, and having a good time, they have none alcoholic beer too
I’m not much of a singer, but this is the best place to watch karaoke in Austin. The bartenders are friendly and the crowd is top notch. I’ll be going back multiple times
This is the best karaoke bar in Austin, and the best one I've ever been to in any city. It's busy on the weekends, but on my most recent visit (my first in a while) the service was still attentive and great. I hope this place never closes. Long live Ego's
Some guy asked me for my id outside. I asked him if he works here and this was enough for him to don’t let me to get in. Maybe Ego is related Of his personality.
It was my girlfriend’s birthday, and we were having a great night celebrating with friends—until the staff decided to kick us out for no reason whatsoever. We’ve spent thousands of dollars here over the years and have always loved this place, but after this experience, we’ll never be coming back. No explanation, no warning, just an abrupt and humiliating end to what should’ve been a special night. If this is how they treat loyal customers, they don’t deserve anyone’s business. Avoid this place unless you want your night ruined!

When will they finally build a high rise here? Hopefully the bartenders can get a job there.

Expensive beers for the location, but karaoke makes it worth it

Best Karaoke in Austin, 8 pm until 2 am.
Don't try to sing at a chili's, go where everyone is supportive of a person leaving their comfort zone to sing a song they love. Seriously, everyone is always friendly here, as long as you are nice too.

Terrible. Ruined a wedding party.
It may look empty in the garage parking lot, but I kid you not, it Issss Nottt! As we arrive for my girls' birthday and greeted very nicely by the bouncer. We walked up to the bar, and it was Kelli's (the bartenders) birthday as well and bought my girl her first drink. Bahddd ass. It's definitely a great spot to kick off or end at. Bring yo singing skills too.
