The food is fantastic, I have never been disappointed. Lots of parking. Service is great. However, if you want to carry a conversation, I suggest you sit at the tables over by the bar. There is a lot of background noise in here, so it's difficult to hear each other talking.

It's good if you like interior Mexican food. Too much line for me. Pricey.

We tried this El Alma location today & were very disappointed. First off, I want to acknowledge the power was out that morning which definitely slowed things down. But unfortunately we did not know that until after we ordered. Our bartender seemed pretty upset that they didn’t delay the restaurant opening. He was very passive aggressive towards us & pretty much ignored us. It was so uncomfortable & awkward. He practically threw the menus at us. We ordered & waited. And waited. And waited.45 min after ordering my husband asked the bartender how much longer the wait would be (we just ordered a couple of tacos). That’s when we learned the restaurant had lost power that morning & he said it was ridiculous they opened that early. Okay? Maybe learning that the kitchen was way behind before we ordered would have been nice. And not taking out your frustration on some customers would be nice too.We got our tacos after 50 minutes of waiting. We ate so fast so we could get out of there. Needless to say we won’t be back. At least the tacos were yummy. All in all, seemed unfair to put the staff under the stress of not ready to open & unfair to take it out on customers.

Just visited for the third time and, as always it was delicious and the staff was great. The difference this morning was the the electricity went out. Regardless of working by candlelight, we were still provided a scrumptious breakfast.

We have been here for happy hour once and popped back on for lunch today with an out of town guest! The salsas are so flavorful.I got the Mezcaloma and it was incredible ? ? ? ?The elote corn was also very tasty. Our server was not the best and didn’t seem to want to be there. The drink I ordered arrived 30 mins late and my husband had to ask a different server about it. Other than the service —- the experience was great.

We were seated quickly. Chips & salsa very tasty. Their guacamole was chunky with a delicious crema , tomatoes, and roasted sunflower seeds. We had enchiladas pollo with mole verde-chicken was moist with enough kick to let you know they used fresh peppers! The mole was so full of flavor! We splurged on Tres Leches to share for dessert. Our server was top notch.

The food is soo delicious. The wait staff is the nicest you'll ever meet. However, the restaurant itself was almost too loud to be able to enjoy the rest of my meal. The noise was deafening. There used to be a wall in this building but it seems to have been removed. I would order again but if the restaurant has alot of people in it, I'll just go somewhere else or order to go/delivery.

Huge space (and parking lot) with a variety of pretty interesting Mexican dishes. Good for when your parents are in town.

Incredible! Everything was so good! I'm so glad they added more of an extended menu closer to the one that they have in Barton springs. Simply Delicious!

Happy Hour every day from 3-6pm! New location, same great food. Drinks are fantastic, food is great. Feels and tastes like the old El Alma location on South 1st. Definitely worth stopping in for a frozen margarita and some tacos. So tasty!Parking: So much parking. Pretty rare in Austin.
