El Amigo Taco

I have been coming here for years the owner the woman she is so nice every time she has a smile on her face the food hasn't changed up it's so good reminds me of home. The prices also are very reasonable. She does only accept cash but she has been known to give out tacos as a I owe you until you get cash and come back the food is always warm and fresh made daily! I highly recommend this place it's yummy!

I’m really disappointed in the experience I just had. I called in an order in advance, they didn’t tell me cash only. I get there and there’s no parking. I parked somewhere with a sign that I would get towed unless I was a customer but didn’t specify of where.

When I was told it was cash only I had to walk to heb to go get cash because the circle k across the street is not easily accessible unless I walked even further down to a cross walk. With cars constantly going down McNeil I couldn’t cross.

It took me a long time to get there and back. Thankfully the tacos were still warm…the least they could have done was give me some extra sauces when I asked instead of telling me there’s a limit. I wasn’t going to make them give me free sauces or anything but damn I had to do a hell of a lot of work to get these breakfast tacos that are just okay. That’s the very least I would have provided to my customer.

I have a long list of health issues and had no business walking anywhere today which is why I drove in the first place to get here. I guess it’s on me because I should have gone somewhere else when they told me it was cash only.

I felt guilty since the tacos were already made and didn’t want to leave these people hanging.

What a bad experience all around.

Delicious breakfast tacos & burritos. Bacon is perfect crispy every time I get a breakfast item. Very reasonable prices and they give you a couple of tasty and somewhat spicy salsas for every burrito you get.

Parking: We just park behind Jim's, close to the car wash, not next to the food truck.

4.8 stars is crazy.These tacos are definitely Tex-Mex American tacos.The tortillas taste like they came from HEB.They don't have too many options like nopales or horchata.The limes are kinda dry, and I went here twice to try different orders.But it's definitely not HORRIBLE. ? It's edible.Also, cash only.- Sincerely a Tex Mexican
