Good Food. But service was disappointing. Other tables were getting good service while we had to wait, Look at waiters and wave at them to get any service. Maybe they should constantly look at the corner table to see if the customers need

The food was spectacular! The Basque cheesecake is not to be missed! I've eaten Basque cheesecake in the Basque land of Spain and this reviles anything I ate there. The service was incredibly attentive despite staffing challenges that the restaurant was experiencing that night. We ate on the deck outside which was very enjoyable. There was noise from the street on the deck but there is little that the restaurant can do about that. Highly recommended!!

Best spanish experience!!! I am Castillan and know spanish dining. Derek the GM went above and beyond for us. He was knowledgeable, professional and most importantly he was very hands on. Lucy our server was the BEST! She gave us the best experience ever. I WILL BE BACK! Thank u Derek and Lucy for making this experience so AMAZING!

AMAZING SPOT! Me and my team were visiting town and we’ve stopped by a ton of restaurants and this one was definitely in the top of all the spots we ate at. The service was top notcj, chef Laila was awesome, the drinks were inventive, the ambiance was moody/chill yet refined, and the food was just incredible. The seafood was so fresh and was unlike anything I’ve ever had before, definitely order the paella! Looking forward to coming back the next time I’m in Austin!

MUST TRY SPOT. Everyone is Austin should know about this restaurant. The authentic food took me right back to the flavors I ate in Spain (honestly was even better than anything I ate abroad too) the staff was unbelievably welcoming and we enjoyed everything about this dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. From the time you walk in the door, (once you find it) to when you are heading out the door, they are friendly, attentive, professional, and on top of their game. The food the chef prepares is excellent. The only issue is we ate too much. Everything placed on our table was excellent, from the many Tapas, to the Paella, to the dessert. I can guarantee you we will be back. I am usually a tough critic, but this establishment blew me away.

This was a pleasant surprise. Having lived in Chicago, New York and London, I've learned to really love Spanish tapas cuisine. But I have learned to lower my expectations because Austin struggles sometimes with anything outside of the Americas cuisines. This was an exception. Everything that we ordered, and we ordered quite a bit, was really well prepared. Great flavors, temperatures, and textures. The paella was good but not great. Everything else was Amazing.

El Ravel is one the best Tapas restaurants in Austin! There literally isn't a thing on the menu that isn't delicious. But what sets El Ravel apart is its rich history and cultural ambiance. I'm honestly shocked that there aren't people lining up outside the door for this. The host/GM also deserves credit for setting the atmosphere! He is really passionate about his job and as a customer that resonates so much with us that we want to come back again and again. Seriously great date night.

Made an early reservation for Friday night (6:30) and restaurant was full except for communal high tops. To be fair the low top/tables are basically communal as well. Anyway, seated quickly at a reserved table. Great feel to the restaurant, service was great, multiple people covering you, but they worked very well (food came out of the kitchen via runners which works great in this format). Food is authentic and excellent. We like to go to restaurants with menus we won't likely cook at home (like Chinese, Indian and French). El Raval is one because of the variety we ordered. El Raval definitely hit the mark and worth a go, we'll be back for sure. A little pricey but the closer you get to downtown for this quality it's to be expected. Free parking (3 hours) is available on the left side of the building and partly into the parking garage (then it's gated for apt). I'd estimate 90 spots which is not bad. Go check em out!

Came to El Raval for the first time to celebrate my birthday and everything was great! Service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Loved the Paella de Pato and torrija. They even added a special birthday dessert that made the night extra special.

I visited this spot last year and yesterday I went back to it. I love the Spanish tapas e and paellas that they offer. My single complaint is about the wine menu. They should have non-Spanish wine options. Spanish wines are kinda unique and some people (like me) would rather have other options.

We went for dinner. There were 3 of us and we decided to order everything to share. A bottle of a Rioja tempranillo and water to drink. We started with bellota jamon serrano and the grilled octopus with papatas. Then we followed with the black paella with calamari and fish and it was absolutely delicious. We ended the visit with a crema catalana which is kind of a crème brûlée with berries. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Music wasn’t too loud and so we could hear each other comfortably. Definitely will come back.
