Without question one of my Austin favorites. Every visit is spectacular. Tried Conchinita Pibil for the first time and highly recommended. A top three Espresso Martini in Austin. Service excellent as always. And the atmosphere and setting is singularly worth the visit. I have recommended this restaurant frequently and it is always a must visit.

Christmas decorations were fantastic in this incredible ‘hacienda’ style restaurant filled with the owner’s fabulous Mexican art collection. Interior Mexican food was 5 Star+. Loved it !!!

Pretty good. Food is great, but you are eating here for the atmosphere and experience. The enchiladas are excellent as are the tacos. Our server was John F, he was fantastic. Very professional and attentive. Not to mention they give you chips and salsa. Seems like a standard, but not every place does that here (cough, cough-Curra’s). Tres Leches presentation was incredible as well. Even the flowers on top tasted great.

Atmosphere is the only good thing here. We had dinner Monday at 8:30 pm (make a note management) and our waiter was incredibly rude (a real character). He acted like he was doing us a favor and when I tried to talk to him his body language came off as non-welcoming and condescending. Only at the end when it was close to tip time did his demeanor change. We spent a lot and high hopes for this place (group of 4) and it was not what we expected. Management you need to train your staff on treating patrons correctly or you will lose business. Main courses and appetizers were not very good either, but drinks and desert were good. Needless to say we won’t be coming back here as your waiter really ticked us off. Horrible experience and we didn’t get our money’s worth. We won’t be coming back here.

So basically overpriced standard Mexican food plated differently, but not necessarily better. Food was cooked to perfection, flavors were really good. But not really better than a standard Mexican restaurant. Also they are levels behind papacitos, which is significantly cheaper. Service was great.
